Small and convenient, great throw distance with large beam flood!
This is such a small LEP flashlight. It was also my first LEP and now I am purchasing more. They are really cool devices. I use it when I walk my dog at night as we walk down long trails and I want to look far ahead. I carry a second LED flashlight for up close flood light detection. The battery life is decent but I recommend getting aftermarket 18350 batteries such as the keeppower high drains. You'll find other full size LEPs to have a further throw and thats because the beam is more focused than it is on the Thor Mini. If youre not a search and rescue team, avid outdoorsman or hunter and youre just a hobbyist collecting cool toys and gadgets but also want some purpose out of them this little guy packs it on full!It is small, light, convenient to carry. The glow tubes at the back are so cool to look at in the dark but really aren't anything to write home about. Its a body switch not tail switch activation. The body switch has a faint blue LED behind the Lumintop logo that let's you find it in the dark easier. The best part is yes its LEP. Yes it has a far throw but the beam isn't super focused like on my Thor 2 for instance. So while the Thor 2 goes like 3x as far, this one goes about 700m and is more of a flood light at the end of the beam than other LEP lights. This makes it useful when scanning the trail hundreds of feet up ahead of you for threats or dangers to actually see more of what's going on at the other end of the beam.If you dont find yourself needing LEP lights but wanting one that is affordable, easy to care for, has decent battery life and nice features such as low power, high power (brighter but once battery voltage gets too low it won't stay on in high) then this is a must have in your EDC load out!Once you turn the light on the is a glow ring that glows a greenish blue color around the lens that is a nice touch to locating it in the dark, too!

Fantastic mini LEP white laser/spotlight!
Fantastic mini LEP white laser/spotlight.I have been fascinated with LED technology for years, and now this! The LEP flashlight. I chose Lumintop because it was the most affordable and smallest Laser Excited Phosphor (LEP) flashlight I could find. "Entry level" if you will, but this is so much more than just basic.2 brightness modes, as well as a glowing ring at the bezel ads a nice touch, but the glow tubes a the back are a little silly IMO. The glowing rabbit logo is cool and can be turned off or on with 7 rapid clicks of the single button. The beam is advertised at 700 meters which is about 2300 feet. Personally I've tested this at about 1500 feet (length of known parking lot to trees) and it lit them up beautifully. Something like this isn't super practical for an EDC, but would be great for signaling, search and rescue, and hunting. Also a good choice for hikers as a signaling device, although batter doesn't seem to last long. Just playing around the house it can bring battery from 4.2 to under 3.5 fairly quickly although I can't quote the exact runtime. USB-C recharge is extremely fast however.Overall great product for the money!

It’s so bright that blind people can probably see it. Unbelievable power in a tiny package
Title is not an exaggeration. It’s so bright that it’s useless for seeing things indoors or up close. It’s truly a pocket spotlight for distant targets, as the reflected light is too intense at close range and you can’t make out the thing you’re illuminating. If you close your eyes tight and cover your face with your hands, you can still see plenty of light. (Einstein level testing, I know). Closing your eyes is simply not enough, it is painful and has lasting effects from just a split second of exposure, which pushes this thing into defensive tool/weapon territory. It’s like photonic pepper spray! There is zero chance someone will see you well enough to harm you after you roast their retinas like rotisserie chickens 🍗👄🍗It does come with the battery despite what the description and instructions state.Easily my favorite little-big light!

Needs a clip or holster
This is a very good small LEP flashlight. The beam is tight and focused. It has a good throw and the spot is easy to see. I have three small criticisms that took this from being a five out of five. The first is having to remove the battery to charge it. this is not only inconvenient but extremely difficult when using the flashlight and it runs out in the middle of your day. Next is the lack of any kind of pocket clip or holster. Without a clip to attach this to your belt, it needs to be put inside your pocket. Even though the light does have a lockout feature, the instant on while the flashlight is locked out creates accidental activation in the pocket. That brings up the last point. It is very easy to deplete the battery accidentally. The power switch is raised therefore it is easy to actuated accidentally. This is a very good flashlight with some minor problems that could easily be surmounted.

Unhappy with product
You have to remove battery and plug type C into battery...DUMBButton light stays on always (kills batter) unless partial unscrewed.Great light distance and bright. But first 2 things make this junk IMO

Pocket Spot
This is a powerful little flashlight. It is very bright - kinda like having a light saber in your pocket. It is very bright and has a very long throw. Under the right conditions ir could be close to 1/2 mile. This is my favorite flashlight for size, brightness and throw.

Lumintop is Great! Useful LEP
LEPs generally don't have a lot of utility because they're so bring, but this light isn't so bright it is useless. Use it to spot wildlife along treeline or fish in shallow water, but I always use the low setting. I do with it was larger and had better battery capacity, but it is so nicely finished and cool I still have to give it 5 stars. Lumintop has awesome products; this was my first purchase, and I've bought several other lights from them since that I was just as happy with.

Beam is not centered
Pretty disappointing. The beam isn’t centered or a circle but an oblong, weird shape. Battery life is nearly half what is listed. And I highly doubt the specs list on the device are accurate at all from its origins historical candor.
