Works! scans brilliant, and then just evaporates with no residue
Tested it on a few things first and then used it to scan my fairly expensive mirrorless camera. Works great, and left no residue.

OK but
works well but far too expensive could be cheaper in the long run to buy a better scanner

Brilliant, shame about the smell.
This is the first time I have used this and I was quite horrified by the price but it is quite superb and a very light spray is all that is required for most objects. A can will last quite a long time. The smell when you first apply it is horrible and best done outdoors or under a cooker extraction hood. That passes off fairly quickly leaving a very thin white powdery coating that does exactly what it is supposed to do. For the first few seconds it seems to spray like a very thin clear varnish but quickly develops the white matt coating. After a few hours that just slowly evaporates away leaving absolutely no residue. Try it and you will be as pleased as I am.

Not cheap, but it's a case of you get what you pay for! Super quality scanning spray.

It certainly helps
I'm new to 3D scanning but was aware of limitations with the tech when it came scanning black, shiny or generally featureless objects, so bought a can at the same time as the scanner. It enabled me to scan a large castor which was just not possible without it, although it still had issues to be patched afterwards. It does evaporate as advertised, but if heavily coated can take over 12 hours. I wouldn't recommend scanning indoors and once coated objects can be difficult to handle without rubbing off the coating.I understand it's a niche product but it is really expensive in my view, that said it does the job with no cleaning or potential permanent marks on the subject. For small objects there is no sensible alternative from what I can see, unless you're prepared to remove a chalk coating for example.

They do their job
Come of the backing fairly easy and stick well to different surfaces. Not much that can go wrong really
