DR Strings DRAGON SKIN+ features Accurate Core Technology and a micro-thin K3 coating on all six strings, delivering superior durability and a natural feel. The Quantum Nickel wrap wire enhances magnetic output and tonal complexity, providing louder projection and greater tuning stability for medium gauge 10-46 electric guitar strings.

Microcoating is comfortable, tone is big and rich, high strings are clear. What's not to love?
I've used DR Blues for years and thought I'd give these a try. Wow! Great strings.ProsI normally don't like coated strings on electric guitars because the coating shreds. While Dragon Skin strings are not coated in the traditional sense (think Elixir, Ernie Ball, Stringjoy), the Dragon Skin employs a microcoating which is barely perceptable to the touch, but definitely smoother than uncoated strings. It's really something you have to try to appreciate. The sound is rich, big, and full bodied. There is a nice clearness to the high B and E strings. Sustain is good.I've only had them installed for a short time but I can feel they will last longer than other coated strings I've tried. They are also more comfortable on the fingers than uncoated strings. Hmmmm....what to do with the 9 sets of DR Blues I have on my shelf....I kind of want to try the Dragon Skin on all my guitars.Highly recommended.

Best strings of all time!!
I prefer the next gauge but to be honest any of these dragon skins have been by far the best strings I’ve ever used. Some people say they don’t like the coating but I think they feel magnificent and ive never broken one of these strings. They are slightly more expensive than most other brands but they’re so worth it. I change them every six months.

Great strings
Reliably stay in tune longer, little break in time. I'm an aggressive tremolo player and these strings are excellent.

Very thin coating.
I normally don't use super thin strings at all, but I couldn't pass up a chance to try some coated strings in a new brand (for me). I'm a longtime player who grew up playing classical and jazz, meaning very heavy gauge (13 ot 14 gauge) strings for years. Light gauge strings always sound weak to me, but they have obvious advantages when it comes to playing quickly with low action.I've used Elixir coated strings for years on my acoustics, but I haven't really tried out any other coated strings at all. Most of my strings are nickel or flatwound chromes. On bass I like tapewound.I was swapping out the pickups on a new Jackson Pro Plus Dinky so I figured I would swap out the strings too. The coating on these is really subtle. I was kind of surprised at first at how natural they feel compared to what is on my acoustics. There is a little bit of drag but not a ton. The tone is somehow different, a little more output. Obviously they aren't the 11 to 14 gauge strings that I prefer, but they feel a bit more solid than a typical 9 gauge set.

Great sound quality
I like the durability and the sound quality and the value for money and the feel and the tuning stability

Average strings
They're ok, Ernie ball and other strings do better

The worst feel
These are the worst feeling strings I've ever played, I would rather play literally anything else.

Better than expected.
Fit the Strat well, sound pretty good, but I have another brand that I prefer and will probably go back to.
