If words like anxiety, hot flush, mood swings, feelings of vulnerability, insomnia or night sweats ring bells for you the August Rose Slip may be the answer. Four out of five women experience hot flushes, quality of life is affected for one in four and depressive symptoms affect one in ten.HRT and other prescription options are available. However some women have found that wearing magnets in the pelvic area calms effects associated with the menopause and perimenopause. The August Rose Slip is an elegant, embroidered cotton affair, created by a woman, for women. You simply wear the slip ever so discretely over your underwear. The slip securely holds magnets in the pelvic area. Try the magnets in various combinations to find the strength that’s right for you. You receive two embroidered cotton August Rose Slips and six magnets.Although many women find wearing these magnets remarkably effective they do not work for everyone and it can take some time before the effect becomes noticeable. So, unlike some other products, you can obtain a full refund even after wearing the slip for extended trial if you do not experience significant benefits.

You should try it
I have waited a while to review this to really give it chance to work/not work. To say I was sceptical at the beginning is an understatement, but I was SO fed up of hot flushes I was willing to try almost anything, and with the money back guarantee, I felt I literally had nothing to lose.My story - I was obviously peri-menopausal, and had been for getting on 18 months, but I hadn't experienced a single hot flush, not one. I was beginning to feel that I was one of the lucky ones who wouldn't get them. But oh no, how my world was about to change! Shortly into the new year, seemingly from nowhere, hot flushes hit with a vengeance. I had literally experienced NOTHING like them before. It took me a couple of days to realise what was going on, but oh my days, it was NOT fun. I was waking 4-5 times a night so was exhausted. I had to take off layers of clothing frequently during the day and try and fan myself to cool down, and then ended up freezing cold once it had worn off. I was sorely contemplating going back to the doctor and begging for HRT (for health reasons I can't take it). I happened to mention my distress to a friend who told me that another friend had tried "some magnet thing" so I hit the Internet to find out more. That led me here. Well, I've had it about 6 weeks now - in the beginning it didn't really seem to do much, but slowly, gradually, the frequency and severity of the hot flushes have diminished. I do wear it 24/7 and don't even notice it. I had even bought a desktop fan to help me cool down whilst working, but the past week or so I have barely switched it on at all. I don't wake in the night any more. I have no way of knowing if it has definitely made this difference, but I am not prepared to go without it to find out! I would recommend that everyone experiencing hot flushes tries it, and really gives it time to work as the difference it had made for me is massive.

Awkward to use
Oh dear. I was hoping that this would work for hot flushes and night sweats but NO, not at all. I used the ladyplus magnet last year and I got immediate relief. I wanted to try this as it was thinner than the ladyplus which I had lost. It came with 6 magnets and two lace strips. Instructions were awful and the magnetics keep clashing with each other. It also kep clamping my skin together when I moved which was painful when trying to prise apart. I'm still wearing it but with only two magnets. After two months, still no relief. I can see that it has worked for others which is great.

IT ACTUALLY WORKS!
I rarely leave reviews unless something exceeds my expectations. I thought I could get through the menopause on my own steam. No HRT and after 3 years of little sleep the hot flushes were increasing to the point of every 20mins during the night and I was so tired I just wanted to cry. So at 2am on a particularly awful night I googled hot flush help and saw this. Thought it was a load of nonsense. How could this help? But the reviews were really positive and I was desperate to try anything. It arrived and I put in on straight away. First evening /night I thought I noticed a slight reduction in qty of flushes or was this just wishful thinking on my part. They stayed pretty similar for the next few weeks but I stuck with it. A few laughs along the way with my magnetic knickers - my new superpower. Note to self, don’t wear it at the gym if your lifting weights as you stick your magnetic knickers to the weight bar and almost wet yourself laughing. Then 3 days ago……. The flushes stopped. I have now had 3 nights sleep. Proper sleep. Complete peaceful uninterrupted beautiful sleep. I can’t remember the last time I slept like this or went through the day / night without a single flush. Thank you so much for this little simple miracle. It’s a bit of a cliché to say it’s changed my life, but it really has. If you’re suffering please try this and stick with it. It took almost 3 weeks for them to stop but after just 3 clear days I feel fantastic and positive about the menopause. 💕💕💕

Money well spent
I was constantly on fire, hot sweats, just all day long and awake in the night with the same, it was horrendous. someone suggested this product. I was skeptical, thinking no way will this help me, however, I can honestly say, hand on heart that things have changed. I would say I’m around 75% better. Yes I get that burning now and again, it’s there occasionally still, but I am just approaching three weeks of Constant use now. 75% improvement is great, and yes it was expensive for what it is, but money well spent for that bit of relief. I’m not fanning myself all day long and standing outside like I used to. Good purchase.

yes and no
So like moist of you I bought on a recommendation. Took 2.5 weeks to work and it was worth the wait, told all my mates how wonderful it was. Everything sweet as a nut, me and the hubby decided to have a cheeky, non sweating weekend away, which was lovely until I realised Id forgotten the magnets. Within 48 hrs I was sweating heavily again, had to use a 'tit towel' again. Got home, put them on straight away...... 4.5 weeks later, still sweating like there is no tomorrow. In the end I gave up and now have to return them. Some of my friends are still using them and swear by them but I have had to go on HRT. BUt you dont know until you try.
