Great buy
This is brilliant. My son and I went to the park with our remote control cars and it just zooms off.

Sturdy, good quality, good battery life
My 7 year old saved up for this and since it arrived he isn’t disappointed. It’s a good speed but easy to control or steer for anyone with experience of toy R/c vehicles (he’s pretty competent). The battery lasted about 45 minutes of constant use on longish wet grass, which we thought was great. It coped well with loose leaves, rough gravelly road, potholes, hard packed mud and the inclines of a skateboard park. The removable casing seems a bit flimsy but the actual car feels pretty heavy and good quality. It comes with the tools needed for repair and maintenance . think it’s a good step up from a toy R/c car.The instruction manual paints this car as a dangerous object, threatening all manner of collisions, explosions, burns and limb removal, but actually it’s just a moderately fast car and fairly safe when used sensibly with common sense precautions.Cons… the on/off switch can’t be accessed without removing the casing which requires removing and replacing 4 fiddly clips which would be easily lost when you’re at a rural destination, although it does come with spares. Same with charging the battery, the casing has to be opened. There are also no instructions for changing the battery pack on the actual car but there are for replacing the ordinary batteries in the controller, even though that’s simple and intuitive. I would say that the removable top casing seems flimsy but the actual car is solid.Overall we are pleased with this car, I can see my seven year old is going to have hours of fun with it, good value nice car.

Wow!
The media could not be loaded. I love it! Taking this out on a hike with a friend was such a great experience; we both took turns driving the car and getting it to drift and jump over various obstacles, and it performed very well. Taking pictures of it was also really fun.The car looks cool and fairly sturdy, and the vivid green means you're unlikely to lose sight of it. The controller is a bit chunky, which I suppose is unavoidable, but it still fit into my standard backpack. The controls are well thought out. You can tweak the maximum speed and turning angles with knobs, which will allow you to start slowly and build your way up, as well as trading performance for finer grained controls. It has a calibration knob for the steering which will help set up the 'straight forward' position. It has a trigger that you can push or pull for throttle, and a steering wheel of sorts on the sides for steering. The controls are responsive and functional. The car performs well, with great speed when going forward (less so when going backwards, and there were spots where backwards driving got it stuck but forward driving was not an issue at all). I don’t really have a baseline, but the car felt fast. The suspensions seem pretty cool. My friend and I drove this around a dusty trail for hours, and it was covered in dust by the end but didn’t complain at all. The car's range also seems legit; it will go out of sight before it goes out of range, I think (haven’t been able to fully test that). There are LED headlights that communicate status (all good / no connection / battery low). The battery life seems long enough (with the two batteries, I’ll probably get bored before the car runs out of juice). You have to remove the hull to change the battery, or connect it, or turn it on/off. It’s not difficult but it’s a bit fiddly, and I wish it had a power switch on the bottom. Removing the hull is annoying because you have to undo four clips which are quite fussy (and then put them back on afterwards), and because you've got the headlamps' wire that you won’t want to break. I also would have preferred batteries with proper casing, as this system feels a bit fragile with the loose wires and such (I think it’s safe, but it made me a bit uneasy when installing them for the first time).Overall, I had a lot of fun with this, and it's a great product that would surely make a nice gift for anyone who's into this sort of thing, or who doesn't like idle hands while on a walk or a hike.

Grade A Wheels!
My nephew (12) practically mugged me for this, when I asked him to try it out - "Yep! 5 stars, give it 5 stars!" I concur, and happily 'signed over the papers'.His enthusiasm was palpable, demonstrations of the car's capabilities thorough and concise! Trialed on slabbing and in a more rural setting, provided little in the way of obstacles this car couldn't negotiate - truly impressive in it's performance - I'm not terribly technical. but I imagine much research and testing were invested in ensuring this, and the build itself is ultra robust! Get's dirty - can't do much about that - but so far hasn't found itself bogged down, or in need of manual assistance. Really can't find any discernible fault! My nephew mastered the controls practically instantly, and enjoys the maintenance aspect that the package as a whole offers. This lends an element of real professionalism, and will serve to demonstrate the need to look after things! The re-chargeable batteries (spares included) give excellent length of usage, and the speed (36mph!) is very impressive - more so due to the size of the car. As I say, a knockout product, and at a very reasonable asking price, considering the quality of the product, and the tech that went into ensuring this! Excellent!
