This item is as far away from being "easy to assemble" as you could get.The cross piece that is supposed to slip into a slot doesn't. Even king kong couldn't have gotten it to go in.I spent two hours with sandpaper and a wood chisel and still couldn't get it to fit. In desperation I just chucked the cross piece, cut a lenght of 1X4 and screwed it permanently in place. Luckily I don't need it to come apart.There has obviously been a large dip in quality control in the manufacturing of this item.The only plus is that it appears to be made of plywood. But it is completely covered in laminate, so that my be hiding interior particle board.I just can't recommend this produce due to the assembly issues. It's too bad, because it looks like a well constructed ramp otherwise
