We have been using Narwal freo x plus for last 15 days.This is our second robot vacuum. The last one lasted us around 3.5 years.-The tangle free brush is a life saver. My wife and daughter have long hair and our old robot used to get hair tangles. This brush in Narwal is absolutely tangle free.-Mapping is good as expected-freo clean mode or manually running the robot are all good.- It detected the door mats in the house and vacuums the at the end by raising it's height.- it's height is little more than my last one and hence does not fit under my coffee table. May have to raise the table with shoes- it's highly customisable vacuum only, vacuum then mop, vacuum and mop or only mop features come handy- in freo mode it cleans kitchen and dining room twice which can also be set in manual run. Eg: vacuum once and mop twice etc- edge mode is good for cleaning the edges and works best for my kitchen since most spots are under the counter.I clean my kitchen in freo mode with edge mode on also vacuum then mop. I make sure to wet the mop beforehand. It leaves no stains and my busy kitchen floor is spotless.- I don't use mopping feature daily in rest of the house since I worry about the buildup on tile grout my previous robot used to leave. I have to try it some more time to make sure it's not making tile edges and grout black.- the app is great and highly customisable cleaning is possible- it's noise level is much lesser than other robots.-its dust bin is big and needs emptying out once a week or so. The claim of 7 week does not seem to hold true. But one week is good too.- battery is quite good

Even with settings on the higher side and a second pass for both vacuuming and mopping, it never drops below 60% battery for my 2BHK.Versatility: The multiple cleaning modes (vacuum only, vacuum then mop, vacuum & mop, mop only) cater to different needs.Quiet Operation: The low noise level makes it pleasant to use, even during extended cleaning sessions.Dirt Compression: The dirt compression feature compacts debris in the dustbin, reducing emptying frequency.Mopping Efficiency: Four water outlets ensure even mopping. However, the velcro on the mop base may swell if mop pad left wet for too long, leaving marks on tiles. This can be avoided by removing the mop pads after mopping and reinstalling them before the next session.Anti-Tangle Brush: The anti-tangle brush is a significant convenience, as it greatly reduces the need for frequent cleaning. I haven’t noticed hair getting stuck in the main brush, which is impressive. However, hair occasionally gets tangled in the side brushes, requiring some manual intervention.Base Station Return: The robot reliably returns to its base station after every cleaning session without fail. However, I did notice a peculiar behavior during power failures. If the robot is at the base when the power cuts out, it activates its LiDAR and scans the surroundings for 10-15 minutes. After this scanning period, it exits the base and attempts to return, assuming it has lost connection with the base.Cons:Edge Cleaning: Only available in Freo Mode(which optimizes cleaning settings automatically). It should be available for regular modes as well.Carpet Performance: Struggles with carpets. While it can lift the mop pads, the side brushes often get stuck and jam the robot. Pre-cleaning preparation by removing carpets (if those are small) is necessary.Mopping Pressure: While mopping is adequate for regular cleaning, it isn’t effective on tough stains due to the limited 6N downward pressure.Alexa Integration: Alexa commands are unreliable, often starting full-house cleaning instead of targeting specific rooms.Navigation Issues: Occasionally, it wanders without following the straight lines. Cleaning the sensors periodically, especially the front and right-side ones, helps resolve this issue.Accessories and Customer Care: One potential frustration is the availability of accessories and customer service support. So far, I’ve been fortunate not to need customer care, and I managed to grab spare mop pads as soon as they became available. Mop pads are likely the only backup accessory you’ll need, so it’s wise to stock up if possible.Verdict:Despite a few limitations, the Narwal X Plus excels in battery life, versatility, and ease of maintenance.
