works
this def works and is nice, but I guess I didn't really need it. I bought it after trying my first sodastream bottle and it tasting like plastic, and I assumed it was the bottle. It may have been a little bit (I didn't wash it out first... yuck) but using tap water also definitely made the resulting soda far worse. It was exactly like you'd think tap water soda would be. Filtered water makes it taste so good, but it definitely doesn't hurt having a durable steel bottle too!

Top doesn’t seal the bottle.
The top doesn’t seal properly and will leak as well as let carbonation out. The reviews that talk about grinding of the top are accurate, it’s a metal on metal sound kind of like fingernails on a chalkboard. The reviews about top not sealing are also correct, the bottle will leak if put on its side and it will also let the bubbles out if you use it with a sodastream. The reviews about not fitting the Art Sodastream or spraying when carbonating are not correct. If you fill the bottle to the right level it fits fine in the Art and behaves much like the plastic bottle form Sodastream. The hard part is that you can’t see through the bottle to easily know how much to fill it. Almost anybody can figure that out though. The black bottle has a fill line on the outside and it’s not too hard to look in the bottle and see if you filled it to the same general area as the exterior fill line. Filling is not convenient because you need to stop filling to look inside but with couple of bottles of practice you can learn. But …. why carbonate of the top will let the carbonation out in just a few hours.

Great bottle - perfect fit
The reports of people's Terra machines being broken or spewing are likely just from overfilling the bottle - it will do the same thing with the provided plastic bottle if you go over the fill line. I fill my steel bottle from the fridge's filtered water dispenser and can tell from the sound when it's about the right fullness. Sparkley water in a great travel bottle! I love it!

It's Good
It's good. No issues with connecting to Terra. It seals well, seems to keep carbonation longer than the plastic bottle. The grinding noise goes away quickly. It's not hard to leave some room in the bottle; you can see water from the top. It's smaller than the plastic bottle.

Pretty good
It leaks a little when carbonating it on the Art machine. It’s also not insulated as I thought. I still really like it and it had a quality feel.

Works well with terra soda stream
Make sure not to fill with water above the line on the outside of bottle and that you have a secure connection, so there will not be any problem adding carbonation. This works really well and is so much easier to clean than the crappy deep plastic bottle that comes with terra. I highly recommend it.

ruined my fizzi machine
The media could not be loaded. I have a Sodastream Fizzi machine, one of the supported machines listed for this container. When I first got this bottle, it was great. However, after about a week, I noticed that a little bit of water was spraying out when pressurizing the bottle. Now, a month or so later, the spray is such that the machine is now unusable - water gets everywhere, and the water in the bottle is unpressurized. See the attached video, where I make sure that the bottle is securely held before trying to pressurize it.The real kicker is that the same thing now happens for the plastic bottles that the machine originally came with, so my machine is useless - I can't use this new bottle OR the original ones. The original ones worked fine before I started using this bottle.Avoid this bottle. Usually I hate it when companies like Sodastream say "don't use third-party parts with our products", but in this case, they are right.
