Oh boy this was hot 🥵It all starts when Emerson mistakes Charlie for his new sub and make her kneel in his office before he realizes she's actually here to collect a check... and is her son's ex !!Already off to a great start imma right 😏After this *weird* first encounter he get to offer her a job a his secretary. And here our story begins hahaCharlie accepts the job, and the more time she spends at Emerson's the more she wants to know about him and what it'll be like to be his sub.She's curious about his Dom/bdsm lifestyle and ask to know more... and explore 😏Goddam this book was something 🔥It's forbidden and exciting and spicyyyy !I was obsessed with their dynamic and their relationship building.Emerson falls hard and fast, and he gives Charlie the perfect space to explore and express herself s e x u a l l y.The trust and s e x positivity helps her gain her confidence back.Their Dom/Sub relationship ties beautifully with their love story, and I really enjoyed reading about all the way they got to explore in their perfect spicy safe space.Charlie's relationship with her sister was a great addition to the mix, as well as Emersons's with her family but also with his son (who's ex his now his mother-in-law LOL). It added even more dimension to the story.Oh and of course, the praise was *chefs kiss*This is a perfect intro to a world of kink ;)* Forbidden (ex's dad)* Age Gap* Dom/sub* Praise

This is my first ever spicy book & I finished it in less than a week. I recommend this if you’re strictly into spicy books…My honest opinion:ConsI wish there were more plot to the overall story. Some scenes gave me the ultimate ICK so it definitely gets weird. Throughout reading, I’d easily assume what would happen next so it’s not a “off the seat eager to find out” type of book, it really is simply a buildup of sexual tension throughout both main characters & their “love story” that’s about it. I was more intrigued in the first half rather than the rest & I strongly feel as if the end was a bit rushed. The sex scenes do get repetitive so I did find myself getting slightly bored near the end.ProsThe author writes incredibly well, she introduces & describes each character perfectly so it’s easy to follow along & not get confused, she does amazing at describing all scenes & interactions even the ones outside of the spice, I would be reading for many hours bc it is interesting, I felt emotions throughout the book mainly with Charlie & that’s what I look for most when it comes to reading.Overall, I don’t think I’ll continue on with the rest of the series just because I prefer more plot & story outside of strictly spice. If you’re debating on reading this, do it, everyone has their own opinions & preferences with books & I give this a solid 7.5-8!
