Poems that tear you apart.
I am beyond obsessed with this poetry book. I won’t lie when I say they make me cry and reflect. But that what I love about it.

Good purchase
This is a book that really puts the reader to go inside their thoughts and really think about feelings. Each page a a small fragment. I found it really helpful and you can also write post-it notes with how you feel:)

Life changing book
Very heartfelt and inspiring. My therapist recommended this book to me and I really identify. Made me feel safe enough to finish writing my book! I would love to tell the author personally how much I appreciate her honesty.

Deeply impactful work
I love this book of poetry, and I’m so glad I ordered it for my nightstand. The pieces in this collection are deeply impactful, beautiful, and will resonate with whomever is lucky enough to find these pieces of the authors work. I love these poems so much

A must read for someone with EIP/NARC Parent
This collection of poems offers a truly cathartic experience. The author's way of painting a picture with their words takes the reader to such vulnerable places in their past, but somehow laces the pain with hope & forward movement. Despite the devastation on each page, there is a newfound sense of self-assuredness, confidence & clarity being expressed as the writer speaks of their past. This book is like a close friend who knows all your dark, chaotic, painful experiences from your dysfunctional childhood and allows you to cry, grow, and heal alongside them. No toxic positivity. No cutesie affirmations. Honest observations & hard truths. Cant wait for Part two. Thank you.

Beautiful book of poetry!
If you are a surviver of childhood trauma, this book might be triggering especially to those who have not healed from that trauma. However the poems can be a soothing balm to survivors with still open wounds or who need to feel they are not alone in their experience. Reading Iris's words, one doesn't feel so alone. Her words can help a survivor know that whatever he or she is feeling, those feelings have a right to be felt. I applaud Iris for her courage to dive into her past and swim the currents necessary to heal.
