You should always protect your face from the sun and this hat does the job. It covers both the. front nd sides of my face and the hook is easy to hook together so if you have any hand mobility issues this may be a good hat for you.

I purchased this hat for my wife for added sun protection. She'll be using it for the beach, pool and probably for some gardening.This is a nice-looking hat, that is very well made and has a lot of details that dress it up. It looks pretty classy and the wrap around brim is extra big for good sun protection.A padded adjustable, split headband is used to fit the hat to your head. An elastic strap is used to close the open split in the headband. The headband is thick, padded and very comfortable. And the adjustable elastic strap allows you to change the size for a wide variety of head sizes.I also like that they used a black color on the headband to hide any dirt and stains that develop as you use it.Next to the adjustable strap is a second piece of elastic band that is used when you roll up the hat for storage (like when it arrived). When you roll the headband and brim, make sure this second loose bit of strap is placed on the outside so that you can stretch it around the rolled-up brim.The woven straw material on the brim is backed up by a flexible plastic layer underneath. The fact is you probably don’t need the straw at all, but it gives the hat a great summer look – very beachy. It reminds me of a man’s straw hat from long ago.The hat meets the descriptions and images on the webpage. We’re very happy with the one we received. I you’re looking for an open top sun visor for sun protection, this is a really good one to consider. It’s adjustable, comfortable, and really well made. It looks great and the extra-long brim does a super job protecting your face. I would recommend it – very stylish!

In all honesty, this hat had felt too cumbersome for the beach and I almost gave it away….. but then I thought to try it while I was driving. Wow! When the sun was low, I didn’t have to mess with the visor, adjusting it from front to side, up and down. My hat totally blocked the sun from my eyes in all directions at all times! Perfection!!

I recently bought a straw sun hat, and I love it. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and provides excellent sun protection. The wide brim is perfect for shading your face, and the straw material keeps your head cool. Plus, it’s stylish and matches any summer outfit. Highly recommend!

The hat is perfect if you are staying out of sun.

I had a CO2 laser resurfacing and had to avoid direct sun exposure for several months. I had a trip to Florida and ordered this as an extra layer of protection. To quote a (cosmetic booth) mall associate as I walked by: "That is a serious sun hat". It's true. The brim is massive, which is precisely what I hoped for.It rolled into a cone and traveled well in my carry on without compromising it's shape or structure. I made the week without any skin damage, burn or discoloration.The con is the same as the pro. The brim is so wide that it does obstruct your vision. You cannot see anything above eye level, but if you are looking for that extra post procedure precaution, I definitely recommend it.

I don't like the shape of this visor...it have a odd shape and it was missing the strap attachment that's used on windy days!
