Crimpets rule the meals now!
I thought this was going to be a fad item that we used once and then it was left in the cupboard for months until we rediscovered it again. It's not! Honestly we haven't stopped using the crimpit maker since we have had it! The kids are addicted to asking for dad's wraps and it's just a simple bit of kit that makes lovely and quick meals. Very simple to use, easy to clean, small and compact to store away when not in use. Seems well made and good value with the recipe book. Honestly just buy one. Id definitely buy another if mine broke. The kids would miss it too much!

Not as good as expected
For what it does, this is not worth the price it charges. It does what it says, crimps tortilla wraps, but that's basically it, and the crimping did not hold anyway, coming away as I air fried it.

Crimpet sandwich maker
Took the plunge after so many Facebook, tiktok and Instagram adverts.Seems to work OK but think it will be better with preheated food or cold platters. Tried heating a ham, cheese and tomato wrap. 7 min in air fryer made the crispy wrap but cheese did not melt enough. Will take practice to find which fillings to tryThe book is good though with nice ideas to tey

Disappointing product and not free return
I’ve been getting this advertised to me for ages, tempting me to buy. I decided to buy via Amazon rather than direct from the maker thinking Amazon’s return policy would be favourable if it didn’t work out.In the end, this turned out to be quite a disappointing expenditure which is not worth the £28 it costs.First of all, it’s too big to fit and fold a standard UK supermarket sized tortilla, you either have to buy more expensive branded tortillas, or do a bit of a dance with a smaller one moving it down a bit to just the right place.Secondly, no matter how well you follow the guidance on how to use it, the crimping just isn’t consistently reliable — you either still get parts which separate, or you end up pushing too hard and cutting it.But thirdly, I’m just not convinced it’s such a great idea, a floppy tortilla just isn’t secure enough to reliable hold the contents of what to all intents and purposes is a hot sandwich; from experiment I think just putting a hot filling into a tortilla and rolling it up in the traditional manner is better. The insult to injury though is after deciding that it’s not that great a product after all and to return it, I find it’s not covered by the free Amazon return policy, I’m going to have to pay to return it to Crimpit Central rather than to Amazon. Their business, their choice on how to run it. But that suggests to me they get a lot of returns, which you, dear reader of reviews before you commit to buy, may want to bear in mind.
