Tastes and smells disgusting. Not eligible for return so I’m stuck with it. I choked it down and now feel nauseous. Hopefully I’ll at least get a good night sleep. Any suggestions to make it easier to drink would be appreciated!

It was the worst taste and smell that I have ever smelled! The only smell that is worse is head cheese! However if you plug your nose, head cheese taste better than this tea!

An excellent sleep time herbal tea. A bit of sugar can add to the sleep effect. Herbal teas are used for medicinal effect, so they cannot be expected to always taste good, but can be combined with other herbals if you cant get past the taste.

I was excited to receive this valerian root tea because I often drink herbal teas with valerian roots as a natural relaxation and sleep aid. First of all, I expected to feel a distinct valerian root aroma upon opening the package. The aroma was actually very weak. I steeped the tea according to the instructions on the package. When I tasted the tea I could not swallow more than a couple of teaspoons: it was very bitter. The aroma was also fairly weak. I disposed of the tea because I was unable to drink it due to its bitter taste. I believe the amount of root (1 teaspoon per cup of water) was very large, so I will try to start from some small amounts and maybe even mix the root with other herbs to reduce the bitterness.

I have always loved valerian tea before bed. It is definitely an acquired taste, and the smell doesn't do it any favors. But once used to it, it is great for a sensor to a good night's sleep. This is a very nice bag. Double sealed, brews up nicely, the flavor is downright pleasant, and the aroma isn't as strong as many I've tried. I'll get this one again.
