Q: Product image shows design for four screws, but says three. customer images show different product w/three screws than the listing images. 3 or 4?

I just received mine and it has 4 screw openings (holes) and 4 screws..

Q: Did the manufacturer fix the polarity issue along the way or are they all still being provided wrong? This would be a major flaw.

STOP! These are NOT REVERSED. You need to simply use a Multimeter on Ohm setting to see that with the GROUND PRONG DOWN, power INTO the RIGHT SIDE of the MALE CONTACTS will "exit" out the LEFT SIDE of the FEMALE OUTLET. Everyone is overlooking that the LEFT SIDE of your extension cord is making CONTACT with the RIGHT SIDE OF THE EXTERNAL POWER JACK. This makes the LEFT of your extension cord REMAIN AS THE LEFT of the "new" inside pigtail outlet. These are NOT WIRED WRONG, people just do not understand. If you simply make a LOOP OF THIS and plug it INTO ITSELF, you will see the LEFT SIDE of the female cord plugging into the RIGHT SIDE OF THE MALE CONTACTS exactly as it NEEDS TO BE.

Q: Does the flap have the little tag on it to help open it or does it not have it? Not all pictures show the tag on the flap.

The one that I bought from amazon has the flap on it to assist with opening. It’s very easy to open so even if it wasn’t there, it would be fine.

Q: What are the dimensions of the hole pattern? Need to know the placement of the four holes....also screw size #6 or #8?

Comes with the screws I used a 1 1/2 inch hole saw for mine

Awesome watertight plug!

This is the second one of these I purchased. I installed one on my UTV connected to a battery maintainer. I also have one on my truck also for a battery maintainer. The one on my truck is in the grill, so it get everything head-on while I drive like rain, snow and wind etc. It has never leaked a drop or come open, yet when you need it to open, it pops right open, and closed easily too. Highly recommended.
