Serve to Impress (Pre-Christmas Gift 2011)
I have always marveled at ordinary people having full service chafers, why not just use the aluminum pan and the chafing rack, (that is what I always did) until I started my own catering business and knew I had to have a classy looking set of chafers. My heart was set on the stainless steel/gold combo by Winware! Checked out various sites for the same set (some were higher), it looked so elegant and when I received it even better. You may pay a little more than the $25.00 chafer but you have better quality and performance. My children purchased - 3 of the full size and two 4-qt ovals (same brand and style from AMAZON)for pre-Christmas 2011. Steamed very well, keep in mind that if you put cold food in a chafing dish it will take forever to heat the food, it should be warm. Awesome set for entertaining whether you are professional or not! S/N I would not use this at an outside BBQ...too elegant!

Good Value, Good unit
This was my first chafing dish buy and had no experience with them but needed for a Superbowl party. Virtually no assembly required and uses standard size sterno that was available ay my local grocer. Not much guidance on how much water to use but after having it on for about five hours, it uses very little. I overfilled the water and when it got hot, it steamed over but then worked great. Only need about 1 inch of water to keep it happy. I would buy it again as it looks good and works great.

Possible counterfeit
I have 3 of the 4qt rounds. They are sturdy and made of a shiny, thick metal. This 8qt rectangle was made from a flimsy, dull metal. Additionally, the right handle was offset by 2 inches, and the whole thing wobbled. Not sure if I got a counterfeit, but sure seems like it.

Very high-end appearance
Anything that looks gold and shiny in a promo picture can be a disappointment when seen in person. That wasn't the case with this chafing dish. It's impressively solid, looks high-end, and the gold details appear like they will look good for a long time. The disk capacity is huge. That could be a great thing if you're catering or serving tons of people, but it can also be too much if you're just having a dozen people over for something more intimate. We ended up going to a restaurant supply place and picking up some dividing trays that fit this chafer. That way, we can have number of smaller dishes stay warm rather than lots of a single dish.

Meh
This looked very nice but felt thin and cheap. I ended up not using for my party.
