Great replacement for a pull cord
I thought I'd cover a few questions that I had before buying this ;1) It says wall mounting - can it be used on the ceiling - YES. it has been working just fine as a ceiling sensor even though its right next to the wall / door.2) Can it replace a pull cord - YES . as there is no neutral needed just swap it for what you have. Its even easier than a wall switch really in that your pull cord most likely has a large back box to take this.3) I cant see any screw holes on the faceplate - how does it attach ? - Easily - it also comes with a pair of screws, although I just reused the ones I had. the faceplate has a cover which just clips on to cover the screw heads4) There's a weird resistor in the instructions, what's that all about? - Ignore it. I assume this is to create a minimum amount of current draw for very low energy bulbs like LEDs, but I ignored it and its powering 3 x 9W LED downlights in a 10 x 10 bathroom no problem. The only downside is that the adjustments for the duration and light levels aren't easy to get at. I'd advise turning time to max and light to min before fitting it in place. Other than that its a great cheap unit.

It works but a little annoying
Fitted to the ceiling replacing a pull cord. Bought a 32mm back plate for it which fits fine with a bit of room for wiring and a terminal block for earth, but as someone else said, the supplied screws don't fit the back plate. Luckily I had some spare ones that did. The controls are fiddly and inside the unit, I had to dig out a precision screwdriver for the delay adjustment. It's non-neutral and cheap so fits the requirements and works fine.

Works!
Worked better I thought! We had the old wiring, seems to work great! Only thing is it only works when there's no light (at night) but we only need it then anyway!

Good value, will it stand the test of time
Excellent value. Only problem was the screws supplied do not fit UK back boxes. Easily adjustable time and lux. Works fine. Let’s see how long it lasts?

Works but....
Item works well when installed and looks neat, the faceplate fitting well to the main part. It also doesnt require a neutral, so they can be connected in the backbox if you have them. As pointed out this wont fit a 16mm back box but it's not overly deep. However a few niggles which let this down. Firstly the screws are an odd size and don't fit a standard back box, luckily I kept them from the switch I was replacing. Second is that where connections are made they use + screws which aren't great and seem to have sheared. Overall not bad value for the price
