So far I really like this book. Written very well and easy to understand Laravel concepts.

The book is written in an easygoing language, also easy to read due to the font type, size and content distribution.Update:It is awesome that you receive a digital copy of the book when you purchase the paperback, I love that. My first review was done because they require you to post a review prior to sending you the digital copy which I think is ... OK.Now my thoughts about the book after reading 31% of it.The book is indeed very easy to read but, in my opinion, this book is not for beginners. This books gives you the feeling that you have to know Laravel before reading it. As if you already know and then you come to this book for specific references in certain specific scenarios you might have problems with but it does not guide you to resolve the issues, it serves a reference for you to know what to look for in google or any other book.I purchased this book thinking it was a guide I could use for beginning my career with Laravel, but it does not even tell you how to test the code fragments in the book, therefore you have to know Laravel to run the codes.I'm in the learning part in which I ask... what is this... how does this work... etc. so I wished for a book that was more explanatory but this book assumes you already know many things and if you don't know it is your homework to look for it. For instance, I have already read 31% of the book and I went through the Routes section and after going through it I still feel like I don't even know what a route is and how a route works?, or what is a Facade?, what does it mean when it says UserController, ServiceProvider, etc. giving me the feeling that I have to go somewhere else to learn and then come back to the book.The book does not have detailed steps for anything, which again makes me believe this is for someone who is already developing using Laravel's framework and willing to become, as they said "a seasoned Laravel expert". It feels like it presents the concepts for you to know they exist and then you can look for them somewhere else to learn and get some practice elsewhere.I'm just a rookie who just learnt PHP, probably I am the problem, I guess I will have to go through the whole Laravel's documentation, the laracasts courses, a few Udemy's courses and build 5 large-scale projects before I come back to this book.

A great book, covers the complete Laravel application development cycle with code examples. I like how looking at the code examples, I am able to follow to develop and deploy my Laravel application.
