The Sharpest Knife I Ever Owned
Not only is this the sharpest knife ever, when it finally needs to be sharpened, you only need to swipe it a few times on an extra fine diamond sharpener, and it is a razor again! I have MANY knives from many manufacturers, over a very long time. This is now my favorite EDC knife! And for having a 4” blade, this is a beast of a knife! The action is super smooth, and flips open easily using any method you choose. For the size of the knife, the handle makes it light and easy to carry. Blade thickness is good, it doesn’t need to be any thicker because the metal is so tough, proven by the fact it takes a long time before it needs to be sharpened (compared to other knives). The cost is unbelievable, I have paid two and three times as much for high quality pocket knives that do not perform as well as this one!

A bruiser from Civivi!
First and foremost, Civivi makes a fantastic folder. The quality for the asking price (many are discounted) is hard to beat. I was always just a little disappointed with how thin and short the blades were, generally speaking. Other than that, they are well made, work superbly and are a bargain for what you actually get. This Vexillum however, breaks the mold for Civivi, in my opinion. This is a tank, compared to my other Civivi's. That's not a negative BTW, just don't expect it to be like so many of their other offerings. If you need a thick, strong, sharp and large blade...consider this knife. If you've got big pockets and bigger hands, don't mind a bit more weight and larger overall carry........consider this knife. If you demand a well made offering, for an easy to justify price.......consider this knife!!

Well Made, X-Large Folder
My first time buying a Civivi knife and I have to admit I'm impressed by the build quality and smoothness of the blade deployment. It is a large knife for a folder, and I don't have very large hands but it still fits in them quite comfortably. I'm not a big G10 fan but this handle is nice and grippy without being rough. I have quite a few folding knives with different steels - D2, 14C28N, S30V, S35VN, but this is the first with Nitro-V. Time will tell how it stacks up to the rest. In my opinion this was definitely worth the cost, and I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

Great knife!
Love the blade profile. Hair popping sharp out of the box. Well placed gimping and finger choil. The blade is centered and locks up tight when open. Very easily opens with flipper. Great knife for the money.

Blade opening is inconsistent
Good blade and handle, but opening and closing the blade doesn’t feel secure,

Great knife, but
I am very mad that they didn’t put the medal type steel stamped on the blade. I will never buy another knife from them again because of that. All the really cheap knives aren’t stamped. If you want to show it off that it has nitro-v steel, you can’t. Now I am wondering if is made with nitro-v steel. They didn’t prove it. But the fit and finish is excellent, no imperfections, except the one noted. It’s an excellent looking knife. Flips out fast, with a loud click if you want it too, or a gentle quiet sound if desired. If you want a really appealing knife, that doesn’t show the type of steel they used to make it, it’s a nice knife, and if it’s made with nitro-v steel. Nitro-v likes a fine polished edge, and keeps that type edge for a long time, where•as most knives steels perform better with around 600 grit grind. I personally prefer the polished grind.
