I’m not saying it’s a lucky rod, but…
Every time I used this rod on a recent trip to the Outer Banks, I caught fish. Even when no one else in my group was catching anything, I always did. Literally on the first cast every single time, I caught a fish.I’m not one of the people in these reviews that know a lot about rods and reels. I just tried to pick a combo rod and reel that looks nice and had good reviews. I’m a very casual fisher. I usually just use one of my dad’s fishing rods, but I wanted to get my own before spending a week fishing with him at the beach. This rod and reel combo was great. It’s very responsive, but still strong. I didn’t have any problems feeling bites and snagging small baitfish on the pier or larger blues from the surf.

Nice color weak pole
Update from 3 stars- The seller saw my review several months after purchase and offered to replace it or refund it. I'll be purchasing Kast King products again in the future based off of customer service alone.Looks nice at night but the pole broke in about a week. Could be a lot better but if it's for looks it's the pole you should get

Hot Garbage
Absolute garbage. 2 of them snapped. Numbered markings on the side rubbed off within 3 uses. I wish i would have listened to the other review that had theirs break also. Save yourself the headache and buy something else....

Dope rod
Been using for a bit now, just bought the Spartacus2 bait caster cause I loved this one so much. Outside of how it looks(awesome) this rod is so sensitive that I feel bites even on slack line. This is the most sensitive rod I’ve used and I have caught more fish on this rod then any other so far. Cant wait to get my new bait caster from KastKing . The only downfall would be that the grip is completely solid so it may not be as comfortable as foam or cork, but I think it helps with the sensitivity
