The media could not be loaded. This "green machine" was a present for my husband's collection on our anniversary on the 26th (arrived just in time the day before). Made of green and black plastics (stands out from most of his yellow ones), feels heavy and well made. The size is quite big also. It has two sets of rechargeable batteries with its charging USB cable which offers convenience by allowing to have one charging while using the other one. The front scoop can be operated by the remote controller but sadly, the "backhoe arm" is only for manual use as stated in the description. I'm sure he would have preferred if it was RC also, but most of his vehicles are for display more than playing. The RC controls forward and reverse motion with steering but seems to have quite some torque which may be good for scooping sand. I bet this one will provide a lot of fun to our 7 year old son with his dad at the sand box when the weather warms up.

Turning radius is horrible. The front has no dump feature. Once it maxes out on height it automatically drops an inch. Definitely more of a toy than for a hobbyist.

My 11 year old son has really enjoyed using this excavator. It works well and is versatile on a couple different terrains that he has used it on thus far. It isn’t fast like a rc car, and obviously isn’t intended to be, as it is an excavator and it works like one. The only suggestion my son had was to have the back hoe rc controlled as well instead of manual. However, at this price point, it is understood why it isn’t. In short, my son has had a lot of fun with this so far.

First of all it’s all plastic and back hoe arm is useless it’s just a prop. Front arm just goes up and down not very functional hope this review helps !

I purchased the front loader to go with my other RC construction equipment. I like the size. It does have a little weight to it compared to a couple of others I have. The backhoe partdoes not operate from the remote its manual by hand. I knew that when I purchased it. Its green and not construction yellow. Just look at it as a JOHN DEER green. If you want one that the backhoe operates off the remote then you have purchase a hydraulic front loader and those can be pricey. Maybe some day the manufactures will come out with a battery operated backhoe that will work off the remote. If they did I think they would seell a lot of them.

Lasted about 5 minutes with my nephew before he broke the bucket lift function
