Strong and sturdy, easy to follow instructions and when finished, it looks really good.

) 3 - All the assembly parts were in the package and labelled so easy to tick off against the instructions (which were included)
Don't think I've posted an amazon review before, but I have to say something about this product.1 - It took only 2 days to arrive (from order to deliver) and that was at Xmas.2 - Its solid wood, not MDF or chipboard (do people still use that ?)3 - All the assembly parts were in the package and labelled so easy to tick off against the instructions (which were included)4 - There are many similar products out there, but they all start at £200 - need I say more ?5 - One last thing, its part of a range (Corona) and if you like the look (I have a nest of tables as well) you can get a nice co-ordinated effect for most rooms in the house. This is a rare 'quality bargain', and those two words don't often go together.

Nice cabinets
Firstly these arrived promptly and upon unpacking everything appeared un-damaged.It’s also nice to have solid wood cabinets rather than flat pack mdf for a change. The reason I chose these cabinets is that they’re one of the very few that have a physical door that you can apply child locks to prevent a toddler from opening them (bucking the modern trend that most HiFi furniture nowadays should be open style).I ordered three, two for my HiFi and one for my TV.Assembly instructions are good but it’s easy to miss some of the small print so take your time to do them. Also nice was that no parts were missing. Some people have mentioned the lack of holes in the back but the shelves are designed to be adjustable to your needs - without knowing the heights how will the manufacturer know where to put the holes? What you’re meant to do is adjust the heights as needed - mark where you need specific holes for that specific component and then use a Christmas drill to cut them out yourself. They drop half a star for having quite a stiff door catch that (as someone else mentioned) results in the stylus of a record player skipping when opening (a slightly softer magnetic catch would’ve been ideal), and also another half star as one of the decorative pins snapped the stem off when trying to apply it - not bad considering I have3 cabinets so that’s 1 out of the 12 broke, but I’ve had to glue it in place instead (see picture, the tiny black pin you see on the cabinet is the broken “stem“ of the round black decorative cap you see glued on just below it).Overall though the three cabinets look really nice next to each other in my lounge and I think they were good value for money too).4/5 stars

Top product, easy to assemble and very solid! Tip: leave the back panel off if using for a HiFi!
Very easy to assemble, all the parts were there and instructions were clear - unlike some things I have purchased from Amazon! The cabinet felt very solid once assembled and the top panel in particular is very thick and gives it a sturdy appearance. One thing I did with my unit was leave the back panel off for added ventilation and used one of the packing strips of wood along the base. My HiFi filled the cabinet top to bottom so leaving the back open meant I could get to the back to wire it- which would have been impossible from the front! There were two holes in the back panel which must have been new as someone stated earlier that there were no holes at all.

Not a well thoughtout design
On the plus side this is a solid wood piece furniture at a good price. It looks reasonable and feels solid, however the piece is advertised as a Hi Fi cabinet and it has considerable design drawbacks. I bought this to house my new Hi Fi separates system. Hi Fi systems have lots of wires and plugs each of the separate units need to connect and then to plug in to a socket. The cabinet is not designed to accommodate this need. The unit has a solid ply back meant to be nailed in place. It has no holes in it to allow the contents to be plugged in and shelves fit fairly flush inside the cabinet so that you cannot easily run connecting wires between your components. When I pointed this out to the supplier, I was told the reason for this is that some people use it as a glass cabinet. I thought this an odd response as it is marketed as a Hi Fi cabinet. I therefore have saw and drill several holes in the back to make this work for the purpose it was designed for. Therefore buyer beware it is cheap and solid but does need some DIY skills to make it work.
