First I want to say: if you compare ANY high quality protein bar/supplement to things like fad "recovery" bars or vegan "protein cookies" from the gas station, you should first turn your attention to the ingredients list.This product doesn't suffer at all from the absence of a barrage of ingredients only chemical engineers can pronounce. I was hesitant to buy it based on a few comments that mentioned it was dry, had no taste, etc. I would firmly disagree, though I understand everyone's experience is subjective. Here's what I would say...One of my favorite bars prior to this has been Big colossals apple pie bar. However, I get this only because they are widely available and I am always bothered by the ingredients and sugar. These have the same great crunch texture, much like a rice Krispy as one reviewer mentioned. It's perfectly sweet, has a balanced flavor and the ingredients are so much better. It is a higher price point per ounce, but you get what you pay for. Also, the bars I was eating were about 390 calories for for 30g protein with a good bit of added sugar. Eating 2 of these (weight would be about the same as one big colossal) is 300 calories and 30g protein (amazing for a bar and I think the lightest I've had yet).Overall- better ingredients by a landslide, refreshingly new taste and a great texture. If want your protein bar to taste like a candy bar (why I don't know),these may not be for you. But if you want a guilt-free, protein packed, low calorie snack to hit that sweet tooth, or to double up for a quick breakfast these are great. 👌One add on is that I've been eating protein bars for over 15 years. Most are very chewy or have so much sugar/Splenda they are sickeningly sweet. The ones that try to be candy crunch bars are a dime a dozen(Gatorade, Alani nu, fitcrunch, even metrx). If you haven't had many to compare, that's what you are missing. There's something for everyone but if you are turning up your commitment to macros and generally healthier ingredients , these are the way to go.

These are great! I Will definitely purchase again.I was looking for a protein bar that met the following criteria: whey protein, no sugar alcohol or artificial sweeteners, and not too much sugar. This was surprisingly hard to find but these Promix bars fit the bill.The macro nutrition on these is great: 15g protein, only 5g sugar, 150 calories, and there is even 5g of fiber which is a nice bonus.The Ingredients list also just what I was looking for. No artificial/alternative sweeteners, no artificial flavoring or anything weird.Now on to the taste: I was pleasantly surprised by how good these were. After reading some of the reviews I was expecting something rather tasteless that I would have to choke down. But I found the texture quite enjoyable (sort of like a rice crispy treat) and the flavor is pleasant, if a bit bland. I think some of the reviewers may have slightly unrealistic expectations. As long as you don't come in expecting a candy bar I think you will be satisfied.Honestly the only downside for me is the price. If they were a bit more affordable I would buy these all the time

I really wanted to like the Promix Protein Bars, but unfortunately, they were a huge letdown. The first thing I noticed was the texture—it’s incredibly grainy and dry, almost like eating compressed sawdust. Instead of being smooth or chewy like other protein bars, these crumble apart in a way that makes them difficult to enjoy.The flavor doesn’t do them any favors either. While I expected a natural, clean taste, what I got was bland and oddly chalky. Even the flavors that should be sweet or indulgent end up tasting dull and artificial. If you’re looking for a protein bar that’s easy to eat and actually enjoyable, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.Bottom line: too dry, too grainy, and not worth it.

Good to have on hand when cravings hit!

Loved how small this bar was and the clean profile, the taste is a little chalky, but I am a founder of a protein brand as well and I know how hard it is to not have that with protein products. You have to choose between more added sugar + less protein and the chalky taste. Personally I am obsessed with all things protein and it does not bother me. I am always shocked by negative reviews in this space, are you expecting a miracle dessert with no calories, no sugar or after-taste? Sorry, it’s just not how it works 😊 excellent snack in my opinion! Will be buying it again!

Basically, it's chocolate flavored Styrofoam. And very little flavor at that. Dry, crumbly, over priced blocks of Styrofoam. 15 gms of protein is nice, but there are many other bars out there with similar protein content that taste better for less money. Maybe if you're a purist and want/need super clean protein you'd buy these. Not me.

I actually love the birthday cake ones the best, I’m giving it a lower score because the other flavors are very dry and the price!! The price is too much for me to buy more often.

Delightful little protein treat. As someone else said, you have to keep your expectations realistic. It's not the same taste and texture as a rice krispie, but it's such a nice protein option. The vanilla has a subtle coconut taste and a very pleasant chew. It's subtly and not sickeningly sweet. It does have a bit of that protein powder feel to it, but not very strong and I like it. I was recently desperate to find an alternative to David's Protein, which changed their recipe to disgusting toxic ingredients, and this one has 0 questionable nasty ingredients. I'm so happy and will continue to buy this deliciousness! Thank you for making a quality product with real food ingredients!! Some business owners and companies still care to make healthy products, and I am extremely grateful.
