I got this for my baby’s room to store books and small trinkets, and it has been such a great addition! I moved into a smaller place and easily let go of furniture, but I kept all my books and media because I LOVE them. This turned out to be a problem...books everywhere with no place to store them. I tried squeezing a small bookcase into a corner but it was hard to reach the books. This spinning bookcase is the answer! Books can be stored on two sides and I was surprised how many books fit. Each shelf can hold 50 standard sized magazines plus some on the front display shelf, or 12-15 medium sized books. I saw another review saying it's flimsy. Not so. I have mine packed with books and it spins fine. It's a tall shelf so I started weighing down on the bottom shelves first. I suppose it could tip if you put books on the top shelves first. The quality is good. The shelves are wood and the rails are metal. Anodized I think. The spinner at the bottom is plastic. This is the only concern I have. I hope that can take the weight. I'll be careful when spinning it. This takes some skill to assemble it. The directions say to build the rails first, then attach all the shelves. I suggest building one rail then attaching the shelves to one rail, then build the second rail to make sure all the drilled holes are in the right place. I did it by myself, it took 2 hours but I was leisurely about it. Two people might do it quicker.

I've wanted books in my bedroom and using limited on space. I loved the appearance of this so I ordered it. I decided I wanted the most difficult way as their are options and perfect instructions. It was easy to put together and looks amazing! It performs exactly as it says like a lazy Susan and super sturdy with a lot of storage space packed in that design. Get creative with it!

i ordered 2 of the same items. it was easy to put together the first was easily assembled. Looks super. however, i could not go beyond the 1st stage putting the 2nd together.. i want to return it. i have paid for a 2nd to be delivered as promised on the 5th of October. it takes up less space and easy to put together.

I moved to a new apartment and lost the scattered but small spaces I used to for my book collection. It was nice to keep the similar ones next to each other, and I didn't want a wide shelf eating up all my floor space. When I decided to look into rotating shelves for the new place, I immediately ran into a problem: the height of Japanese art books and piano sheet music books. These are about a quarter to a half inch too tall for most rotating shelves.This shelf provides 2 unique solutions to my problem. First, the top shelf is completely open on top, so I can fill that whole shelf with books of any height. Second the lips meant for displaying something opposite the main shelf space is the perfect place to lay a tall book or three on its side (works perfect for long books too). My collection isn't huge, but thanks to these two features, all of my books fit with room for temporarily parking library books too. I even got my crazy 12in x 15.5in huge book on there, which was a problem even for regular shelves.Now I might put a mat or board underneath it later, as its sitting on carpet and takes 2 hands to spin due to the friction. That's not the shelf's fault though. I couldn't be happier with this shelf. All of my books have an easy to access home now. And the display shelves have turned my favorite books into decoration. The whole thing is sturdy and stylish. Even with my heaviest books on the top shelf, it feels solid, like it would be hard to tip over.If, like me, your book collection is 1/4 big books, this shelf will work well for you.

I absolutely love it! It looks smaller in the images, but it's so much bigger in person. It helped me organize so many more books than what I had intended for! It's a pretty good size weight. Super easy to build and there were no issues in assembling.
