Perfect Tattoo Aftercare
I have been using this bandage as aftercare for my tattoo clients for a couple years now. After using multiple different brands and trying different methods, I have found this brand to be the most effective and affordable. Unlike "tattoo-derm" which is expensive and cumbersome, this bandage allowed for you to see the area you are placing your bandage by being see through. Which is much like the 3m equivalent, although Smith & Nephew is more affordable, nearly 10$ cheaper per roll. This is an indispensable healing product in my opinion, minimizing the chance of infections exponentially. This type of barrier prevents the tattoo from sticking to clothing, sheets and collecting outside bacteria. When applied in the proper way in a sterile environment there is no better way to care for a tattoo. Lasting up to three days, once it is removed the tattoo is already in the peeling process, skipping the scabbing stage by allowing the skin to heal itself. Not only that, but the barrier is breathable and waterproof. All in all I have done my research and absolutely recommend this bandage to other artists and all of my clients.Tips for applying this bandage to a tattoo area1. Clean the tattoo with gloved hand, or if it is on yourself, wash hands thoroughly then clean the surface with a clean paper towel. Use a mild soap and water.2. Pat tattoo dry with clean dry paper towel.3. Once surface is completely dry cut bandage to size and apply, leaving a 1/2 inch to an inch barrier on all sides.4. If bandage becomes pinched or ruffled at edge, cut a small pice and lay flat over edge to prevent fluid from escaping.5. A heat rash may occur after a day or so, if this is the case remove the bandage, clean surface, let it dry then happy thin coat of lotion. If you are a client always confide in your tattoo artist not in other clients when curious about healing methods.I am a professional tattoo artist of 4 years who owns a studio in Navarre, Florida. My husband also uses this aftercare and has been tattooing for over 16 years.

Most Flexible and Skin Friendly
1st time i thought the clear side was the waterproofing, did not realize it was supposed to be removed. Its really soft and amazingly flexible when you peel off both layers (take clear off after sticking backside to area). I recommend a practice 1st: test a piece a few inches long on yourself, see how to handle it. It sticks to itself really well... and will bind/twist if not securely adhered to skin if used in a bendable location. Liked it so much that i bought another roll to keep for emergencies. Holds non stick pads nicely. We found a wide elastic bandage (4-6 in) worked best for full wrap around for our dogs belly, and use this underneath to gently secure a pad. For dogs, some may need fur shaved or left - depending on wound and fur type. Again, i recommend testing a few inches of tape first. Our1st try, a full belly wrap, failed from inexperience on how this product works. And her belly did not react to the adhesive vs other 'non-latex easy to remove/ouchless" pads that left her skin raw and sent her running away, when the bandage needed changing, which was 2 to 4x daily for several weeks :-( . This worked best for us, over a non stick wound pad without an adhesive edge.

It's got my vote!
After back surgery the hospital covered the wound with a pad and tape around the edges. I could not shower or do anything else that might get it wet. The tape kept rolling up as I moved in bed and was quite painful when pulling it off to change the bandage. I finally started researching large Nexcare bandages, which I have had good performance from in the past. Nexcare does not seem to make a bandage big enough for my situation. I did find something big enough but the reviews said that it didn't work as well as this stuff, so I checked these reviews, and although it cost twice what the other bandage this size cost, it is still a bargain for what you get, 32 ft x 4", and you cut it to size. It stuck on great and sealed perfectly so I could take a shower. Over 3 days, in and out of bed, and rolling over in bed, it didn't even come up a little. When the GF went to change the bandage it pulled off easily and painlessly for me. I am very impressed with it and will use it any time I have the opportunity. It is also significantly cheaper than the painful, rolling up, hospital tape used to hold my original bandage on, which we researched and found that it is about 300.00 for a roll.

Too expensive
I've been purchasing this for years & it does the job, but I'm on disability & the cost has been bugging me for a long timeI did a search for a cheaper alternative & discovered transparentstretch adhesive tape for use after getting a tattoo. It's great! It's less than 1/2 the costof this product & it works perfectly!

Nice Bandage
I used this when I worked in surgery for 18 years, and loved it. I now keep some at home, and use if someone has a cut or wound that needs protection. I have also used this to cover new tattoos, and my son's road rash. You can cut this to any size needed. I always use a telfa pad, gauze, or silver alginate dressing under the OP site, so that it does not stick directly to the cut or wound. If used with a silver alginate dressing, you can leave this one for up to one week, as long as the seal is not broken. I can't tell you how many times this stuff has come in handy.

Diabetic’s friend!
This was purchased to cover a Libre glucose monitoring site to keep it from being pulled out during jiu jistu training and it’s worked like a charm. I highly recommend it for any diabetics out there that are involved in contact sports!
