Gut wrenching
Grief is funny life that, how it ebbs and flows from you, it’s not corked like champagne, a bottle that bursts open, fizzes all out until it’s empty. It’s more like the weather. A kind of wind. Sometimes it’s these horrible gusts that you feel undeniably, hurts your ears, makes you close your eyes, chills you right down to your bones, some days it’s a pleasant breeze that blows across your face and it’s neither sad or bad, it’s just some kind of unspeakable tenderness.’ 🫶🏼I honestly cannot put into words how beautifully written this book was. I really went through every emotion reading it and my god the way that Magnolia struggles and coped with her grief really hit me in the feels. 😭 I haven’t cried at a book in a long time but this one right here had me in tears within the first few pages.I have loved this series and right now do not think I can write a review that would do it justice. All I will say is if you haven’t read this series, honestly what are you waiting for?!Magnolia and BJ will hold a place in my heart for such a long time, their story was toxic, drove me insane, was petty, funny and loveable all at once! While I’m gutted that this is the end of Magnolia and BJ, I need the next Daisy Haites book like right now 😂. Why is everyone acting so weird? Where did they go? I neeeed answers 🥹💜.

Good book
Lovely book (cried quite a bit). It didn't need to be 710 pages long, but it was enjoyable, I do recommend it, tho. Loved the series so far. I can't wait for the next book of the series

Just brilliant - a powerful depiction of love, growth, commitment and grief.
I have always enjoyed the series but was genuinely blown away by the maturity and growth in this book. In depth, believable character development is the thing I look for most in books and this had it in spades for Magnolia and BJ, both as individuals and a couple. I loved taking the plot down a notch to focus on character resulting in I think by far the most powerful, interesting and mature book of the series.Seeing them take the steps to heal and grow together was genuinely beautiful. These are flawed characters but they are trying hard and want more than anything to make each-other happy. BJ's total unwavering support of Magnolia as she dealt with everything was particularly touching. The way he has evolved is amazing. I teared up many times, which is something I don't often do while reading.Magnolia and BJ are now firmly one of my favourite all time book couples. The depth of their connection and love for each-other (so beautifully described) and the playfulness of their interactions just sets them apart. I couldn't be more satisfied by the end of their story. The grief for Bridget (and exploration of that relationship) was also so well done and moving, and more insightful than I was expecting.Anyway some favourite moments - warning spoilers:The funeral ('her guiding light', 'her two great loves')BJ standing up to his Dad about Magnolia and their future kids being more than enough to show for his lifeBJ helping calm Magnolia (the ice cube, feeling his pulse)The goodbye to BridgetGoing to therapyThe bath scene - wow - you can actually feel the healing. What an amazing thing she did for him.The vowsBJ taking the time to do a Bridget speechTheir ending"If I die, when I die - it will echo through space and through time, and it will brush up against the edge of this universe and press into the next one that I loved you more than anything"

What a book!
Okay, I feel like I say this for every book of Jessa’s I review but this was superb!! Just everything about this world captivates me, I am obsessed with these characters and their world.Firstly, let’s talk about Magnolia and BJ. Finally they can be together, they’re functioning like proper adults, talking and communicating effectively. Yes, they have their moments still, but anyone with history like theirs would. I am so so so over the moon happy for them and I just loved seeing them be completely happy and secure in their love 🥰Bridget… oh my god, the amount of tears I shed whenever her or her death was mentioned. The scenes in the bathroom with Magnolia were so heartbreaking, I felt so unbelievable sad for Magnolia in those moments.Julian… what a man 😍 I love him so much, he’s so funny and hard around the edges but a softie on the inside. I’m so sad he and magnolia don’t get to have a happy ending, but ultimate BJ is her one true love. I just hope Julian can find his person soon 🫶🏻The ending was everything I wanted and more, it was utterly perfect. I loved how it felt like Magnolia and BJ have come around full circle and are finally on the right track after being derailed for a bit 🥹 I hope we can see more of their life in the next Daisy book… by the way, WTF was going on at the end with her and Christian… I need answers immediately Jessa!!

Arrived Slightly Damaged
The actual book is beautiful, but I was very disappointed to open it and find the pages edges dirty and the front bottom corner damaged and lifted. It’s very noticeable but luckily I can’t see it from the spine when it’s on my bookshelf. It’s a beautiful book though and the cover is stunning!

More than just a romance book
This book was the perfect conclusion to Magnolia and BJ’s story. I really liked how the book dealt with difficult topics and shed light on the experiences people have when dealing with grief. The book managed to balance difficult and lighthearted content and Jessa’s characters always have such great levels of depth, that it makes them feel so much more real.Definitely one of my favourites from this year.
