Q: i'm 5'6" AND 170, long legs - would a large fit?

I have long legs and am 5’8 & 170lbs. I got a large. I didn’t have issue with the length. Just the waist. I have more of an athletic build and have never had much of a cut in waist. But the waist on these pants is cut small.

Q: Do these shrink in dryer?

No. I wish they did, mine are too baggy and I have medium. They also stretch out a little the more you wear them. I love them though, they have a soft feel, so comfortable.

Q: Rise and inseam lengths for all sizes? I need the crotch to not touch when standing or rub when walking, thank you

You won't have a problem as there is plenty of room there but not too much.

Q: Would these comfortble for a physical job? (Painter, often working on my knees or crouched in awkward positions)

Yes. My job requires a lot of physical movement that also includes crouching, bending and the like. I have not had any issues.
