Great Fun!
Super fun despite being pretty difficult! Even huge comic fans may struggle with some of these but the games works despite this.

Quick gameplay, can prove challenging
Play in teams to identify which cards are your agents, avoiding enemy agents and the assassin. Gameplay works by one team member giving the other (not so) cryptic clues about their teams cards, so it’s also a game of how well you know your teammate as well as how well you know Marvel. All in all, a good fun twist on Codenames and a good standalone game for Marvel fans. The pieces feel more premium and heavyweight than some other games, so a £20-£25 price tag isn’t too hard to swallow

Hard, but not in a fun way
As a bunch of huge Marvel nerds and board game geeks, we thought the Marvel version of Codenames would be awesome. In practicality, it's just ... not. The game is hard, but not because of a 'lack' of knowledge about the subject, if anything that hurts it. The trouble is that with regular Codenames, you've got a bunch of disparate things. With Marvel, there's actually very little difference between the words, it hugely narrows down the options for things to say.The characters have all interacted with one another so much, that referencing any aspect of something that's happened in a comic opens you up to all sorts of misinterpretations of other characters / objects. What tends to happen is that you do a bunch of 2's, until most of them are gone, and there's either a smart '3' word left, and that player wins, or there just isn't, and the other player wins.We tried after every round just all collaborating to see if we could come up with good answers, and there was just always too much overlap to do anything other than a 2.

A really fun game for marvel lovers especially if you're playing with people who don't know marvel
it's so fun playing this game because I'm a huge marvel fan but not everyone is so watching them try to play this game while not knowing what a lot of the cards are is really funny and a great challenge. Codenames itself is super fun so this edition is definitely worth it for a fan.

Quick fun game for family get togethers.
For those looking for a game you can quickly play at family gatherings, I wholeheartedly recommend codenames, it's easy to explain the rules, game play is pretty fast, and it's a team game that doesn't require artistic ability. (yes I'm still bitter at people not being able to recognize my duck drawing from pictionary) And there are so many versions of this game already(and going to be a lot more) that once you've played one version, it's easy to jump to another without a long reading time of the rules. This is of course a specific version, but with the Marvel movies being so popular it's not too tough for the team to work, and if you have a mix between die-hard marvel fans, and casual, there can be some pretty funny interactions.
