Metal. vs composite. I have several of the RAM mount arms made from the latter material, and I like both materials, you choose what better suits your needs from a weight standpoint. Resin is obviously lighter, but these I just bought are heftier in weight, which can be a bonus. This is the long version 6.03125”. It adjusts easily, very durable, and is quite versatile. Good price too.

It seems to make a solid connection and holds the gear mounted to it well. The only difference I could see between this and the RAM arm was the RAM arm has a spring inside it which make it easier to mount.

Very nice product, heavy duty and works very well.

This was much cheaper than buying directly from RAM and the quality is just as good. The socket size matches perfectly and it holds tight in rough conditions (I use it on a cessna yoke)

Solid construction. Works for multiple uses including holding phone with an adapter.
