Great price and a great product
Great product and a super bargain. Other similar tools are selling for $600. Works great, is super heavy and stable, and you can easily move it around and position it perfectly how you want. Very easy to assemble and start working; no need to attach it to the bench.

Everything fits!
I just got this set, so I can’t speak to longevity, but it is very solid, heavy, and rotates very smoothly. All of the pins and accessories fit their bases perfectly, unlike similar products where there may be some machining needed. I feel like I just got a GRS system for 1/5th the price—and that is exactly what I wanted and needed as a novice jeweler who is getting into stone setting and engraving. This set is way better than I was expecting!

Great but moves too easily
I love the different attachments that came with this. It is very sturdy and solid. Moves smoothly. I use this for setting cabochons. The issue I am having is with the entire ball moving on it's base when I am trying to set. There is no traction between the ball and the base. The ball slides around very easily. I am not sure how to mitigate, but it might be as easy as putting some tape on it to create some friction. I am certain there is a DIY fix for this.Either way, for the money, you cannot beat this deal!

The accessories do not fit the vise - Manufacturer needs to learn about quality control
The main problem is accessories do not fit the vise. The accessories' 6.35 mm pins are too small to tightly fit into the 7mm holes in the hardened steel jaws. So the accessory jaws are too loose and rock excessively. This is because the primary black steel jaws have three 7mm holes to accept pins. The accessory jaws have 6.35mm pins. Perhaps this could be fixed with tubes or by wrapping the pins with ~ 0.3mm thick sheet metal shims.A second, minor issue is that the finish on the ball is rough. This could probably be addressed with fine sandpaper, and possibly repainting.I returned this vise and had a replacement shipped to me. It has the same problem - 6.35mm pins for 7mm holes. So I returned the replacement.I the end I bought the very similar CTISMICE vise. It has matching pins and holes and only cost $1.29 more. Wish I'd never wasted my time (and 4 shipping dispatches) on defective Kingseesun vises that someone is trying to pass of as merchantable.

loose fit on pins
the pins in the ring holding vice attachment fit very loose in the fixture plates, resulting in bad grip. It does not render this product useless, but is annoying. I also use it for removing flashing from larger bronze casts which is very helpful.

Great substitute for the expensive ones!
The only complaint I have is the holes are a little loose in some spots but it's so not a big deal. I made 2 little shims and it works like the 800 and up similar products. If you don't mind having to use some tape or something if a hole is loose, it's definitely worth saving 600 bucks. Literally does everything the others can and it's HEAVY. No need to attach to your bench. I use it for setting stones, not engraving. You just have to flip the rubber base upside don't ans it does not move at all.

This vise does NOT SECURE anything properly
I had really high hopes for this as the reviews seemed good enough. We do a lot of jewelry work but most of our work is done on lathes. Lately we have been doing simple cab inlays that I figured this would be good enough for the money instead of buying a higher end one but now I see why it is priced the way it is.The plates themselves have way too much play so when you apply tension using the many attachments, the plates actually push away and slant upwards making it nearly impossible for the vise to properly secure anything you’re working on. The parts themselves fit ok into the plates but still a small amount of play in them.Overall I would have rated this 1 star but the base and the vise itself are built well and there is a good amount of weight behind it. The ball moves smoothly. I even tried to put some electrical tape around the plate posts to see if they would securely sit into the base but it still wants to push up and out.Maybe I got unlucky and others had better built vises but my experience is not the case.
