Got my copy the other day! Quality content in this one! It covers such a sprawl of info but its very nicely dissected. Makes getting through it all very milestone worthy!Which, I think, is a noteworthy thing to say, as even though PowerShell might not have the longevity of some other MS technologies, it's certainly got quite a dense amount of history and content to cover, particularly around the context of how it's used and abused. And this book does such a great job of capturing the meaningful bits and condensing it for consumption.

I have understood so many things more clearly after reading this book.I am already on the hunt for other books authored by Miriam C. Wiesner.

This book is absolutely powerful with the amount of practical knowledge and information it contains. After reading this I am confident I can utilize PowerShell in ways I have never known before.The Author deserves an award for the amount of research, experience and study that went into writing this absolute asset and gem of information! This book is loaded with tons of useful tactics and strategies to perform PowerShell Remoting operations like detection, auditing and monitoring, Active Directory security, Blue, Red and Purple teaming cookbooks and tactics and so much more!Finally, I am way more skilled in PowerShell now as a result of reading this! I’m almost as comfortable in PowerShell as I am in Bash/Zsh now.

A nicely written book which brings to light the world of powershell into cyberspace.

PowerShell is a built-in scripting language and a command-line executor which supports system maintenance, forensics, automation, and security. Recent versions of PowerShell include improved defensive capabilities, including ways to counter PowerShell abuse. This is because Powershell is also a useful tool for attackers. Many cyber intrusions, including those by ransomware actors, have used PowerShell as a post-exploitation tool. This book covers PowerShell fundamentals for hardening and detectionand security features for protecting credentials, remote management configurations, anti-virus scanning and logging. The author covers hacking Azure Active Directory, API and Windows system calls, language modes, and how JEA (Just Enough Administration) can be used to reduce the number of admins, limit user access and understand user actions and commands executed with transcripts and logs.This book is an excellent resource for Blue, Red and Purple Teams in the admin and security spaces.
