The rice was like a parmal rice, very thick and you can't eat and treat it as basmati at such pricing

I have used this brand earlier, the quality of the product used to be very uniformly good. This time however, the product did not meet my expectations. The grain on cooking was extraordinarily long, there was lack of fragrance as well and the grain was sticky too. My cooking method is fairly standard. I soak the rice for about 15-20 minutes after a thorough washing. I use a little less than double the quantity of water in relation th the same quantity of rice. Bring the water to boil, before adding rice to it for cooking. Is there something wrong in the way I cook rice?

I bought it thinking to be basmati . But its not . Didn’t like much

Either it is a fake product or they are cheating. Quality of the rise is not what you expect from a high quality Basmati rice.
