I bought these for a Wahl battery powered clipper set that I had. The little plastic tabs on the guard break off rather easily and are disappointing on the guards that came with it. These are made much better. They have a metal strip across the back, and the tab is made of metal. The metal is riveted to the plastic guard. The whole thing was obviously made by someone frustrated by the cheap originals. These are great!

I am very satisfied and would but again.I've been cutting my own hair (basic men's fade), for over 2 decades, always using the basic plastic guards.These guards eliminate my 2 biggest issues. The cheap plastic ones are flexible and occasional 'pop off' my clippers.These guards have the metal clip to lock them in place. You need to bend the clips, the first time you use them, to fit your clippers.After that, they are the most secure guards I've ever used, with no noticable flex.

They work as expected.

These are heat proof and fit wahl extremely well.

i almost never leave reviews, but in this case it is deserved.I purchased these to replace a broken #6 guide for Costco Wahl clippers.Somehow, these are better in every way than the OEM version.1) more secure fitment2) glide smoothly through hair3) more consistent between passes due to less flex4) color-coding for easy identification.I can't wear glasses when cutting my own hair, and use only #6, #7 and #8. I don't have to squint to read the numbers, I only need remember a 3-color sequence.

Poor quality came out of the package broken

Not bad. MY wife uses them and she reckons they aren't bad. So I am happy with the purchase.

These are still plastic, but have a metal portion build in for fastening to your clippers.I like the 1/2 sizes in the pack as well - perfect for me.
