I bought this Joby GorillaPod to complement a full size version I use with a Canon Powershot G15 compact zoom camera because I wanted to record video clips with my iPhone while doing other tasks with both hands such as playing the guitar. The iPhone 11 Pro can carry out a variety of useful video editing features such as cropping into videos whereas I would need to use third party MacOS or PC software to carry out video editing on a computer.This does the job of holding the smartphone securely but it is doesn't feel worth around £50 to me. The little Bluetooth button for starting and stopping video recording or taking a photograph remotely is a very useful feature indeed so overall, a 5 star product which we will use frequently for recording video clips on holiday and for website and YouTube content. I reduced this to a 4 star review because it seems like a £30 product not a £50 product. Definitely expensive for what it is.

I was thinking it would include at least the mobile phone holder attachment for the price of it. It is certainly sturdy and works well for my camera which is a Sony hand held camera but was disappointed that I didn't get the phone attachment which I believe should have been included for that price...

I'm late to the party where the GorillaPod is concerned. As a photographer I was always a bit sceptical and possibly a bit too much of a purist where these things were concerned but I've become somewhat amazed by the many configurations and situations where this gadget can be employed.Of late I've been dabbling with timelapse photography and I've found that this device with a Gopro attached can be secured to a great number of fixtures - farmyard gates, tree branches, poles, etc.The only limiting factor is the length of the legs but for its size, price and ease of use it's a winner. Plus, the fittings to secure a Gopro or small camera in place are excellent quality and I've had no issues with them.I'm looking into purchasing another for a high end DSLR/lens setup.Highly recommended!!

Bought this for my recent holiday to Egypt, worked perfectly..Highly recommend this product.Product is very well made, nice lightweight and sturdy, perfect for taking with you, putting into your hand luggage for a holiday away or a trip. I used this product to hold onto my action camera to get steady underwater shots whilst I going snorkelling..

Absolutely fantastic product. Perfect for use with mobile which has come in handy for me with Microsoft Teams meetings for work.You can wrap the legs around an abject to fix it in position. It can just about support my Canon 4000D camera with stock lens on flat and bumpy surfaces although I wouldn't be comfortable affixing at elevation. Pretty good considering these products are designed for compact cameras!

This tripod is a little maverick!!I’ve had it gripped to all sorts of environments to catch some live footage but I’ll share my most impressed moment.I was painting a mural and Needed a shot from a higher angle.All that was available was a protruding beam in the ceiling with vertical dropping sides. By manipulating the tripod to a pincer formation, it was able to grip to vertical sides and hold the weight of a GoPro 7. I left it there when done to see how long it would stay... a week later, I had to pull it down to use elsewhere. BUY BUY BUY
