All the parts necessary to service the Briggs & Stratton engine on my Mountfield SP 470 lawnmower. The mower is now 25 years old, and doesn’t owe me anything, so when the handle broke, I was going to get rid of it. But I hate the throwaway society so bought a new handle. I then decided to service the mower. I chose this service kit because it has the air filter, governor springs, spark plug, and priming bulbs - mine was perished. It also has spares, and the carb gaskets, although I haven’t needed these yet. There are no instructions, but it’s mostly self explanatory, although I had to check YouTube for how to replace the priming bulb (it’s simple). With a new blade as well, the mower has a new lease of life, and I’ve saved £350 on buying a new one.

Not OME items but they do the job. would be of benefit to have instructions for fitting of gasket/diaphragm but excellent delivery speed though found the currier attempting to bend the package to go through letterbox.

Very great service kit. I have bought this as my lawnmower was surging and I wasn't sure why, I bought it the lawnmower second hand and I wasn't sure what the problem was.I decided to give this kit a go, next day delivery, arrived and I replaced the spark plug and diaphragm and gasket, performed an oil change (if you're looking to do a full service on your lawn mower, it's usually going to be SAE 30 type of oil).Lawnmower starts first pull now and retains a consistent RPM as it should. Air filter fits as it should and I honestly have no complaints. The carburettor should be serviced fairly regularly and you should be looking at doing an oil change every 25 hours that you run your lawnmower.You shouldn't really tamper with the governor springs unless they are visibly damaged or otherwise not performing as they should.While these parts aren't genuine OEM nor are they cheaper than what you could get on eBay for more than half the price, they definitely do get the job done.I hope this review helps somebody.
