Warped and Split
Luckily, I only needed a short length and was able to cut the two sections out of this. I only ordered it from Amazon as local merchants out of stock and too much hassle to try to find someone further away.Anyway, it looks as though the wood was inadequately dried before being planed up resulting in it bowing. Furthermore, there was a split in the middle - luckily not through entire length so I was able to extract two 25cm lengths out of the entire 120cm.Next time, I will phone round the wood merchants further away!
