Philex 32007HS I.D.C. Auto Trim Impact Insertion ToolJust what I wanted. A bit delicate but is fine with careful use. Well worth the very low price.

Its hard to understand how these can be sold so cheaply and still be the quality they are. I have purchased a similar product for three times this amount and it didn't last. Obviously time will tell but i'm impressed thus far.

i recently lost one of these tools that my work gave me which was a really good quality one. So this was to be an inexpensive replacement.it arrived within a week of order and so far i have used it twice for my job as a broadband engineer.It feels cheap and whilst not as good as the one it replaces it is adequate enough. The problem is that i dos not always snip the ends of the cables and i have to do it twice. plus it requires a bit more pressure to insert the cables.Time will tell how long it will last.

A well made quality product with useful pull out extras that does exactly what it is designed to do and does it very well indeed, obviously I cannot comment on longevity, however you get the feeling it will be a reliable part of your tool kit for some time to come.Highly Recommended.

As a regular user of insertion tools for data cables I bought these a while ago (as spares) and only started using the first one today after my previous ones packed in after long service. They wouldn't punch in the cores to the parch strip and the cutters wouldn't even cut the cores as the snips weren't centred. Waste of money.

Ordered from Select Online. Its flimsy and the wire cutter is not really properly working. There is a handy hook and a flat prong perhaps meant as a screwdriver? Both rather thin and bendy.But it did the job for £1.80 and installed a phone socket ok. So three stars. But they sent me a Silverline brand instead of a Philex? Not the end of the world but the Philex was well reviewed on another shopping site which is why I chose it and so I would have liked to get what I ordered. Which is why I docked an extra star. But as I said how else are you going to install some idc wires and its cheap so I would probably buy it again.
