Our original remote stopped working properly unless directly in front of the TV and would randomly press buttons without us pressing them. This new remote is an original Samsung and worth the price. It connected very easily and ALL of the buttons work. I saw plenty of reviews stating the Disney plus button didn’t work for them, however, they all work for us. AND THE BIG FACTOR for us is that you don’t have to be in front of the sensor for the remote to work.

Fixes Samsung’s crappy remote that comes with The Frame TV. We bought two new “The Frame” TVs in 2023 and both remotes failed. These replacements work faster and more reliably than the original ones ever did. Easier than working with Samsung’s CS to get a replacement, which is a nightmare.

Update 08/24/25. This remote stopped working completely. Won't operate the TV at all regardless of position and various trials. Completely junk. Save your money and literally buy any other remote.This remote does not purport to be a replacement, it has "Samsung" printed on the front of it. 99.9% sure this is not OEM. First, OEM from Samsung is over $100. Second, fit and finish is not quite right. I have my OEM remote, my dog gave it one too many chomps so it no longer works. Part of the edge seem at the bottom of this remote are slightly splayed, like they were a millimeter too bidet but got squished together anyway. The texture is also off vs the verified OEM. Most importantly, the function. OEM remote worked from nearly everywhere in the room and as long as it was pointed in the general direction of the wall the TV hung on it worked. This remote has to be aimed EXACTLY at the TV for the button press to register, even from 6 feet away from the TV. Point slightly too low, maybe 2 or 3 inches and no worky. Barely nudge it up a hair and it registers. If anything, even a tissue, is between this remote and the TV it does not work. OEM communicates via BT. While this connects via BT I suspect it only communicate button presses via a poorly crafted IR. All buttons seem to work but do not register so you have to adjust aim and push 2-3 times.

Cleared my sheets off my bed and didn’t realize my original (2 week old) remote somehow got wrapped up. Well it was sent through a wonderful wash cycle that brought the remote out clean as could be, but, unfortunately didn’t survive. Didn’t want to spend $100 on a brand new one and took a chance on this one. Remote came wrapped like it was fresh out of the box and paired perfectly to my Q80 TV. Has worked solidly since I’ve paired it and couldn’t be happier.

Lasted about a year. Had to point this directly at the sensor or it did not work. This did work better than the remote that came with the TV. Just wish it lasted longer.

Works with my Samsung QLED TV. I was a bit worried that it was going to be in bad condition bc it's a Renewed remote, but I was lucky, it came in good condition! It was very easy to sync up to the tv. It also charges well when plugged in. I haven't tried using the solar charge yet, hopefully it works. The only button that doesn't work is the Disney+ button. Not too big of a deal. But it would be nice if it worked since we watch Disney+ a lot. The voice control works, but sometimes a little wonky. I'm glad I took this risk bc a Brand New Samsung remote is ridiculously over-priced. I saved a bunch with this renewed remote. I even thought about buying a back-up remote.
