I am new to studying the Bible in depth and wanted a book that explained the meaning of the Old and New Testament. This has been so helpful. It gives lots of explanations and examples in modern life. The language is easy to understand and it is an extremely approachable book. Highly recommend.

Excellent Commentaries:+combines structural and historical background knowledge with practical use of concepts in a Christians daily life of growing in sanctification.+if you know the William MacDonalds Commentaries to the OT/NT these are even more profound and enjoyable to read since it is not strictly sorted verse to verse but after a "context-verse or chapter" relation, so that you can grasp the idea behind much better than in the William MacDonald commentaries, which needs to make little excursion every-now-an-then to illuminate the idea behind. On the other hand compared to the other also very valuable Charles Mackintosh commentaries on the 5 books of Moses, here you are still better able to find the meaning of a special verse within it. So basically the division of contexts have a very good size of being enjoyable to read on the one hand and finding difficult passages explained on the other hand.+neither charismatic, nor pentecostal content, a strict classical Evangelical biblical view+you get the .pdf files of both thick (1000 pages+) books on a CD-ROM attached to each book, added for free+the price is really worth it

This commentary is loaded with detailed and relevant information. I’ve had it for some days and wow it’s amazing.Definitely helpful for gaining understanding of God’s word and for sermon preparation.They could have added ribbons / dividers to the pages but not a big deal.Overall HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

It is very good if you want to understand the Bible

These are the best thing I've ever bought. I've read and listened to many Bible commentaries over the years but this set beats them all. What a wonderful teacher this man is! I wish I had had these years ago, it would have saved me a lot of money. These are the only commentaries you will ever need, they go in to such a lot of detail.

This is neither a very deep nor a verse-by-verse commentary. Rather, Wiersbe takes each chapter, splits it into, say, three or four points and examines each point in turn. It is rather like listening to a three-point sermon setting out the principal aim of the passage.Thus it can be read during a 'Quiet Time', a good evangelical devotion for each day that is sure to bless from the mid-teenager up.
