I use these for my large log burner/ open fire. They reach right to back and much safer than small matches and my gas lighter which is always running out

Bought these many times for our log burner and they just never let you down. I dont think I have ever wasted one and they save you trying to light close to the wood. Value for money as I have never found anything cheaper and better value. Will buy again without fail.

Fantastic long matches, great for lighting a real fire, log burner or coal grate.... or of course a barbecue in the summer. These are very attractively priced as well, they light first time and have a 3+ minute burn time. The seller is extremely helpful as well. Recommended.

Really like the length of these. I bought these instead of a gas lighter thinking they would be more useful. The first match I used would not light, and the tip broke. The second one was fine. I have my fingers crossed, but they should be OK. Makes more sense than a disposable gas lighter.

I wish I'd read the more recent reviews before ordering.I too did not receive the matchboxes shown in the product photograph. Instead they arrived in cheap, blank utilitarian boxes with enclosed striking plate, which is not good when the box is part of what I thought I was ordering and part of the aesthetics of the fireplace. I can’t help feeling deceived as the product is manifestly not what is depicted.Also, I've found that the matches are more brittle than box (that did match the photograph) I had been using previously: you need to hold them lower down while striking, otherwise the stick will likely snap in two while trying to strike them.Maybe the supplier can’t get the original product at the moment. In which case it should update the description. Not shipping what is shown without making it it very clear just isn’t honest. Amazon should hold their suppliers to account for accurately depicting products. Otherwise faith in online purchasing is lost.I did try to return them initially but discovered that neither the Royal Mail or DPD were willing to transport matches (which was ironic because they were sent via the Royal Mail, clearly without declaring the contents). So because return was proving difficult, I am keeping them. I will transfer a box load at a time into my old original box, remembering to hold them lower down when striking them.I'm disappointed the product didn't arrive exactly as shown in the image, and the matches seem more brittle than before. I wont be ordering any more.

Bought these for lighting our wood stove. These are great because you can light at a distance, the wood is strong so they don't snap as you strike them. Good value too.

Excellent matches that don't lose flame easily even upside down. I also prefer these to gas lighters as they at some point (quite soon after I've bought) the gas lighter always seem to stop working. Nice and long for lighting my fire and candles are bottom of glass holders.
