the only thing to realise is that they are sold in pairs but packaged in boxes of three. this is becasue three of this sort of fire door hinges are normally used per door.They are really good quality. would buy them again.

I live just a couple of hundred meters from the sea and a previous owner put up a summerhouse with tinplate hinges which were obviously replacements for an earlier set. They must have had problems with the salt air rusting the hinges solid because the door frame has been damaged and badly repaired by one of the hinges. The replacements they used have now rusted as well so I needed to find a rustproof hinge big enough to put the screwholes into the supporting timber, not the broken bit. These hinges are the size I needed and should not rust. They also have a smooth action with no play in them. Stainless steel screws are included providing a complete rustproof solution.
