Brilliant Jump Start
A great jump start, had my previous one exactly the same and now purchased this one to replace it. I can recommend these. Well worth the price as they last for years if treated right.

Best jumpstarter
I’ve just recently bought one of these, having used and borrowed one on several occasions. The guy who gave it one star, and bored me senseless by his review, should have read the instructions about charging. He left it for months without a charge then moaned cos it defected it.Anyway, heavy duty jumpstarter which I use on my van, fires it up straight away. I use one at work on tractors and the same, first time start. THEN put it back on charge, as per instructions. 😂 well worth the coinFive stars.

Just buy this - don't look at anything else
I generally spend a lot of time researching the things I buy - and this was no exception. The product overall is a superb jump starter that comes from the factory charged and works right out of the box. We have a 2.8l chrysler grand voyager that only does short runs, and it was either this or a new battery at £250. Yes, I could whip it out and charge it - but apparently you can only do this to a car batt a couple of times before you degrade it radically (says Halfords man)?? Anyway, this is soooo much quicker for my wife to use than waiting for RAC or finding somebody to connect jump leads to. Yes, it weighs more than a feather-lite model that won't power anything more than a mini metro, but it simply won't let you down! My wife is not very strong by anybody's measure, but she can easily lift it the distance from the boot to the the bonnet with no problem at all. So stop blabbing about the weight you lot - its heavy because it works! So why only 4 stars? Well, its really about the simple stuff that Clarke could easily deal with. Firstly, the red light does not turn off once charged (like it says in the manual) - it turns green! I rang customer care who said that the manual hadn't caught up with the new circuitry - but even the online manual at Clarke's site is still wrong - no excuse for that. The auxiliary work light bulb was not turning on when I got the unit - but a quick call to Clarke got another one in the post - although not "next day". And strangely, the bulb started working after a day or so. Also, the guy on the phone insisted I couldn't have got it from Amazon direct - but of course, I did, as my receipt showed! Finally, when I rang the tech line for advice before purchase, to ask what "peak amps" actually means, the TECH guy on the phone (NOT the technical manager) freely admitted he didn't have a clue, lol.But that's just fluff - because the product itself works flawlessly and its SUCH a relief to know my wife has this in the boot for when its needed. Flat batts have caused us such distress in the past - I'm so glad to think of that being a non-issue now. You have to recharge it after each use (no probs) and then every 3 months if unused (again, no probs). I wonder how long the battery will last ...It has a 12v output for powering external devices - but for the price, I would have liked to see a 3-pin plug inverter also - like the albeit less powerful Halfords jobby. Hey ho.Summary: if you're looking for a jump start - BUY THIS NOW, its a no brainer :-)

great product, try out the lead lengths
Well I have a 3 litre deisel car.. having been let down once by a failed battery I swore I would never happen again..It is heavy around 17kg as other people have said.. I dont think im particlarly strong or fit and I can carry it easily enough.. I think the with itis only really going to be a problem if you hve significant mobility problems. It came fully charged... took a few days to arrive..I deliberately ran flat the battery on my rangerover sport tdv6 3 litre and tried it out According to instructions.it worked perfectly first time.. it all felt cery safe as you connect the.leads then turn it on so there were none of those alarming sparks at the moment of clamping on.One thing as other people poit out is the leads are quite short aboit 1m. This means for my car thay you have to hoist and balance it somewhere on the engine compartment which isnt ideal.. the solition I found was to get a sturdy plastic box big enough for the device upright.. I ve pit a few other bits in it like a tow rope amd hi vis jacket.. standing on this box turned upsidedown the leads then reached easily and I keep the box in the boot. Following this it seems to have kept its charge really well (you can check it) and although they reccomend topping up after 3-4 months it really hasnt shown any signs of running down at 2 months. So it seems to be great.. and as far as I can tell does exactly what it says. Id reccomend you try out the leads with your car and consider keeping it in a sturdy box which can then act as a syand if needed. although its heavy I think nearly all " normal " adults.can manage it over short distances.. as far as I can tell great.

Feel the power
I have a Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 diesel. Battery problems are common unless you can find the hideously expensive manufacturer's original replacement. Half way through my second winter with the car I had enough so bought this jump starter. I've had cause to use it a few times and the car starts straight away. The Grand Voyager has a couple of rear compartment charging points and places for storage so I leave it in the car all the time, trickle charging as I drive.I noticed some reviewers comment about the long leads making it possible to stand the unit on the ground whilst operating. I suspect many buyers will have cars like mine, 4x4s or vans and the leads are not long enough for standing it on the road. The leads themselves are heavy duty (very important for a unit like this) but the clamps are not perfect. The terminal clamps are short and stubby and the jaws do not open especially wide and I have found this to be an issue with two different vehicles so it can be fiddly. For the peace of mind though it is worth every penny.
