Great fan, not too loud. Perfect for bedroom.
This fan is everything we wanted. I did a lot of reading around, to check out the various options, before deciding on this for our bedroom during the hot summer nights; I've not been disappointed. For starters, it kicks out plenty of air. We've got this in a medium-sized bedroom and the lowest setting is plenty for your average warm night in the UK - keeps the air moving across the bed and is nice and cooling. I've never needed to turn it up beyond the minimum setting in the bedroom. We've also used it a bit in the living room, where it's considerably further away from us, and the higher settings have provided plenty of air.In terms of noise, it's never been an issue at night; my wife even asks me to put it on when it's not very hot because she likes falling asleep to the gentle white noise in the background. Of the different functions available, the sleep timer is by far the most useful - we often set it for a couple of hours when heading to bed. The remote control is fine, works well and saves you having to get up if you want to pop it on for a bit longer, or turn it up.The thing I actually like the most about this is the way it swivels. Rather than the whole unit turning around, the fan assembly is completely enclosed within the main body, and it's just a grille on the front that slides from side to side. This does an excellent job of circulating air around the room, and means that there's no creaking or wobbling that would come from the whole body oscillating from side to side. It also looks like it should be safer for little prying toddler fingers - no obvious places where there could be any danger of getting a finger pinched or caught.Overall, I'd definitely recommend this fan. It looks smart, it's not too loud and it does a good job of being a fan.

I’m a big fan - great for sleeping!
Bought this in summer 2019 during the late summer heatwave where I had the pleasure of using this fan all of two times (typical that the heatwave disappeared soon after purchase!).I’d considered buying a very expensive, popular branded fan and heater however I couldn’t justify the cost for something that essentially moves air around. So in comes this tower fan - some reviews were mixed saying that it was loud, the fan broke after not long, etc. I’ve not had any issues with this fan and I love it.The fan is quite tall but doesn’t take up too much space. The settings are great - my favourite is the oscillating breeze setting on low, I think it actually helps me sleep because it’s like a gentle heartbeat/rhythm. It is NOT loud and I’m a very light sleeper. The higher the setting the louder the fan, but even the medium setting isn’t too loud (I actually haven’t had to use the highest setting yet, I find medium sufficient). The remote is really handy but I don’t tend to use it as I set the timer up on the fan before bed and it turns itself off when done. Also the buttons on the remote don’t light up so I can’t see what I’m doing at night! Speaking of buttons, the settings on the fan itself are great BUT they light up in bright blue and stay like that all night. I haven’t found a setting to stop this and I absolutely can’t sleep with light shining at me, so I cover it up with a folded flannel or tshirt. The only other bug bear is that the buttons make a noise when you touch them. As I said, it doesn’t matter much for me as I set the fan up before bed, but maybe something for couples to bear in mind.Overall I absolutely love this fan and so glad it works perfectly after being tucked away for 6 months. It keeps me cool despite not being an air conditioner/cooler. Please try this before you spend silly amounts of money on a fancy brand!

Definitely fit for purpose
To be brutally honest, I bought this fan as my wife can't stand the noise that our current fan makes during the night. My hope was that the 'night mode' on this device would mean that I could enjoy a cool night during the summer without the noise being an issue. Unfortunately, through no fault of the product, it slightly misses the mark on this score. I'll break the review down...To explain, as a tower fan it's excellent. It's fairly quiet, stable and compact and is head and shoulders better than our existing traditional pedestal fans. We have a 4 year old son and it's extremely safe for him with none of the usual concerns over fingers-in-grill etc. It's timer features are practical, with 30min, 1hr, 2hr and 4hr timers. The oscillating motion is smooth and quiet, with a wide arc of 110 degrees. The only minor complaint is the night mode. As I mentioned in my opening comments, I really wanted a quiet (gentle?) night mode and whilst this fan is quiet, for some reason the quiet mode is programmed to off and low. On a cycle of about 10 seconds, it runs on slow (or a setting of your choice) before stopping completely for 10 seconds, after which it returns to it's original setting and begins the cycle again. So if you're on a low setting, you'll have low for 10 seconds, stop for 10, low for 10 etc. If you're on a medium setting, you'll have medium for 10, low for 10, stop for 10, back to medium etc etc. Even for me, this just doesn't seem to work well as you find yourself 'waiting' for the changes - I'd rather have a constant but quiet but it ultimately comes down to your personal preference.Having said all that, we'll keep it as it's a really competent fan and safer for the family, but again it won't serve me for a near-silent bedroom partner. My quest continues...
