I ordered this because I have been reading about the health benefits of barley grass, so I decided to give it a try. It is still too soon to know if it truly lives up to its hype, but so far I am impressed. It is a nice, high-quality brand with a very fresh taste to it.Barley grass is supposed to be good for weight loss, heart health, liver function, etc. The benefit list is long! I got it to benefit my low-carb diet. I mix it with my protein shake, and it gives it a nice superfood kick. I feel good after drinking this, so I have to think it is helping in some way.It is easy to drink, and mixes quickly and easily, even with water. I tried it with water the first time, just because I wanted to know what it really tasted like. It has a very fresh, wild lettuce type of taste.I am happy with this, and plan on continuing to use it. It takes a while to truly see the benefits. But so far, I am very happy with this product.

If you are looking to boost your health and digestion this a good option. I work nights and often do heavy tasks so anything that helps my body recover and stay regular is good. This is an organic barley grass powder from EU crops.For 100g you get 32g fibre, 29g carbohydrate (of which only 6g is sugar), 15.8g of protein, as well as vitamins E, K, and iron. So this is packed with nutrients and very beneficial for digestive health. In addition to helping your body generate clean energy and keep you feeling strong.This is a 400g bag with a resealable sandwhich bag style closure. 1 portion is recommended as a heaped teaspoon (5g) added to water, smoothie, or protein shake.Open the bag and it is a fine powder, similar to matcha. It mixes easily in water without any lumps or gritty texture. I mixed it with 400ml of water then added a scoop of my usual protein powder and it mixed together well.Taste wise, it doesn't have a strong flavour. It just tastes a bit fresh and grassy. I've tried other cheaper ones and they tadted bad. But this is not unpleasant and when mixed with a flavoured protein shake is not that noticeable.I enjoy matcha green tea so this is a very mild flavour in comparison. If you don't drink matcha your best to mix it into a smoothie or protein shake until you are used to it.Good quality and value. Recommended. Thank you for reading my review. It always gets my gander up when companies use such oversized packaging, this is a 400g bag and was double the size of its contents, the bag is strong and good quality with a very good seal.Anyway about the product…..I love the vibrancy of the powder, try to open gently because it down create a lot of dust, the smell of grass is strong but I like that, natural and organic I love, this you don’t want to use anymore than a slightly heaped tsp because it is strong and will overpower anything you add it to, I found that 1tsp is plenty in my 800ml smoothie.Packed full of so much goodness, high in fibre, good for getting in your Protein, Iron, Vitamin K, Vitamin E, great antioxidants, can help to lower blood sugar, blood pressure, helps with digestion, so many great health benefits and much more.This doesn’t come with a long shelf life, but I use it daily so will be gone before the end date, but it is a best before date so not that important. Make sure after opening, when closing the bag you pinch the seal tight all the way along to keep it fresh, you’ll know when you’ve done it right because you won’t be able to squeeze any excess air out.The pack doesn’t give much detail on the product and what info is on the pack is in different languages, all you have to do is google organic barley grass powder to find out how good this is for you.I will definitely be getting more of this in the future.

The Raw Organic Barley Grass Powder arrives in a plastic ziplock bag that is about one-third full and is not recyclable from home (PET 07). This seems like a waste of space and plastic.I could find no statement that this product is manufactured to good manufacturing practice - and this is a concern as GMP manufacturing ensures product quality. However, the ingredients are tested in accredited laboratories for contamination with microorganisms, toxins, pesticides and heavy metals - so the product should be safe from all of these.The barley grass powder has a pleasant matt green colour and a pleasing smell. The analysis provided shows that this product has a reasonable protein content, good fibre content and even some vitamins. The vitamin K level is high so this product is most probably not suitable for those on some blood thinners.The flavour for me is more suitable for savoury food than sweet.Overall a safe product when sprinkled on food.
