I bought this to deter squirrels from doing early morning runs up a tree next to my house to store and snack on food they bring to the front gutter right outside the bedroom. The Owl is my alternative to buying them a ground level mini-fridge.This Owl has a pretty good range for a motion sensor; I would say about 120°. I have him on the ground by the tree that I want the squirrels to not climb up to get to the house. The motion sensor was effective and reduced the squirrel traffic there.Despite my nearby front porch being about 20 inches off of the ground, the ground level owl detects people going up the front steps onto the porch. Was fun on Halloween!I brought it inside one day when we had a 65 MPH windstorm that kept up for a few hours. Didn't want this little one to fly away. I put it in my foyer and I left the sensor on. One of my cats decided to try and make friends with it. Outcome of that is shown in the video. My other two cats do not want to socialize with Owl. Definitely a multi-purpose item. Glad I bought it!

This product is perfect to scare the critters away. I bought this as a gift for my dads yard who has pesky squirrels eating his mangos & avocados from trees he planted and now he’s able to enjoy the fruits from his trees. Great price, great product and delivery was quick. Most definitely give it 5 stars .

So far it works as described as long as it's charged. The solar doesn't seem to be strong so it has to be charged on a regular basis. It works well from a good distance to scare critters away.

I liked it at first but it rarely worked after a couple of weeks. I live in south Florida where it got lots of sun every day.

Bought to chase away a red-headed woodpecker who was literally pecking large holes in my redwood pergola posts. Had to move around a few times and close to the posts, but it worked and chased the woodpecker away. The owl is solar and also USB rechargeable. Very realistic looking, makes loud owl sounds when activated.
