Elgato Wave Microphone Arm LP - Premium Low Profile Microphone Arm with Cable Management (Renewed)

I originally had a cheap mic arm that hung the mic from above, and I didn't love it, so I got this one. Here's what I love about it:- Sturdy. The metal is not thin and cheap. It's well-built and very stable.- Adjustability. I like that the mic can be adjusted to swing right in front of my mouth without getting in the way of my hands while I type. It also doesn't obstruct my view of the monitors, which is very important to me. Also, very easy to swing out of the way when I'm no longer using it. I never feel like I'm fighting with it.- Clean-looking and feeling. I like how the mic cord threads through the body of the arm, which keeps it off my desk and out of the way. It helps keep clutter off my desk.

Build quality and design are first-rate, and the length suits my needs great. Fold up out of the way when not using it, holds the mic just where I want it when needed. The only minor quibble is the magnetic plates that hide the cables. This is a great idea for cable management, but as others have said there's no way an XLR cable is flexible enough to be held in place by those small magnets. A little electrical tape or a zip-tie works, but other than that it's great.

Works perfect with my elgato wave 3. Has a nice little cable management tray, solid build quality, nice acstetics, ect. Pretty happy with this one.

The Elgato Low-Profile Wave Mic Arm is simple, easy to use, and definitely low-profile. When used with the Rode Podmic, I had to really tighten the elbow joint. Even though tight, the arm would sag about 1/2 inch, so I had to adjust it high and let it settle. Great idea, but I like my Rode mic arm better. I give it an 85%-90% vs the Rode at 100%.

I typically use a dynamic mic while on my pc for live streaming and gaming. Moving the mic under my face made me realize I’ve been doing it wrong the whole time. Arm also has built in cable management to hide your cable and keep it safe when the arm is folded away. I’m always happy with the quality of elgato products.

This is my second favorite arm, and it is highly functional for most users. I have an OC White Ultima ($450+ shipped) and it is hands down the best. This is a close second for less than 25% of the cost. It is a thoughtful design and will work for the occasional mic user. If you work with a mic 1 - 2 hours a day, the ElGato is great.
