Inferior to original equipment
These cables are advertised as "compatible" with '95-'03 Tacoma. They aren't an exact fit. The cables are 1/4" longer (15.75 vs. 15.5") than OEM, causing the top of the open tailgate to hang lower and reducing clearance between the tailgate and the trailing edge of the rear bumper.. They are also of smaller diameter (3/16 vs. 1/4", including coating) and the metal crimping is less substantial. In short, the cables are inferior to OEM but work okay, at least on a "96 Tacoma with a stock (black with trailer hitch cutout) rear bumper.

Bit big for my 2002 Taco
Should fit perfectly, but just is a bit big for my 2002 Taco. Not a big deal since my other side is still intact, but a bit disappointing. Gonna live with it, though. Easy to put on and feels strong
