I have purchased this set twice: once for my best friend as a gift, then after my husband saw these he wanted a set too.Before choosing, you may want to get on the Escoda website to determine the diameter you need as the numerical sizing convention for Escoda runs smaller than a lot of other brands.The Perla line, made from white Toray fiber is one of the best synthetic brushes I have used for watercolor. They hold an extraordinary amount of paint. They're super soft too but snap back into shape very well. The point on these round brushes is retained very well.The cap posts on the end and provides a nice balance to the brush. Overall, these feel very good in the hand and I'd easily use these outdoors or in the studio. My husband has this as part of his urban sketching kit. The air hole in the lid gives the brushes a chance to breath after you have rinsed them on site and until you get back home to properly wash them and leave them to fully dry uncapped.The boxed set with included embossed genuine leather pouch make this perfect for gifting.I have several other Escoda brand brushes for use with different mediums, all with consistently high quality and excellent performance. Escoda in my opinion is top of the line and offers some of the most beautiful pocket brushes.

I have been using this set of travel brushes for watercolor for several months now. I still absolutely love them. They are great quality and the three different sizes are great for my art journal, urban sketching, and watercolor books by Dana Fox. The size, weight, and feel of the brush when extended for use is perfect. I also like the stainless steel (?) used for the handle and cover. They keep everything looking nice and feel sturdy. The case for the three brushes is well made. It is just the right size to keep the brushes from moving all around, yet still get the brushes in and out of the case easily. All around great watercolor brushes.

Your gonna love these babies; they come to a nice point after cleaning! Nice weight to them as you paint. Quality brushes that you come to expect from Escoda !!! Nice travel case 5 Stars!

Not to be compared with brushes that load tons of water. These distribute paint and water beautifully and have their own personality. A bit more structured and disciplined.

Purchased this set after hours of looking for a WC travel set. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and feel. It is perfect for the plein aficionado looking for a quality set of brushes without taking out a loan.

This is a great set for your travel kit - lightweight and small, three reasonable sizes. I'm still a little leery of the two piece system since I'm not sure how long it will hold up without getting loose and sloppy but so far, so good.It's like anything else, I guess, if you use it for the purpose intended, you'll usually get the expected results, but don't quote me on that.Okay, I'm done.

These are amazing! The brush hair snap back into their original shape and hold the perfect amount of water! These are lovely for travel or just nice home brushes! I would recommend these to anyone interested in watercolors!!

I really like these brushes when I used them the first few times. However, the hair on size 2 starts to feathered out and does not go back to its original form. I tried to wet it and shape it back with my fingers and still spread out when it’s dry. I started to see size 10 doing the same. I don’t see this problem with my other Davinci brushes.
