Got this for the grandkids and it was a hit
Got this for our yearly trip to the beach. My grandkids are 3 and 2, although almost the next age. They have a great love of books and had one of these Cat in the Hat books about the solar system. Now you need to understand at this age, they read the same books over and over again. So it is nice when you can enjoy the book too. I was looking for a book about ocean creatures and this one hit the mark. It is factual, but fun and they loved it a lot. All of us read it to them many times, and by the end of the week, they were already starting to quote parts of it from the pictures. I will get them more of these books in the future if their mom doesn't get them first. Highly recommend this book for kids, even young ones.

This should be called wish for ocean animals
What a great little book. These dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat learning libraries books are great for any school-age children's home library or even a school would be great. This one, Wish for a Fish was very informative about sea life. I thought it was going to talk about more of all kinds of fish but it mostly just talked about the ocean and the different levels and also the different species that live within it. It kind of disappointed me in the fact that it talked about some animals that we're not actually fish and discluded some fish that live in rivers and ponds etc. That being said it still had a lot of information that was very interesting and kept my three-year-old on her toes. It was short but not too short and long enough to read a bed time.

Another great book to our collection
My son really enjoyed reading this book. It’s a great book to add to your collection, especially if your kid likes under sea creatures like mine does.

Hooked
We love this series. Keep in mind that my son is four, so he needs these and the way they organize the basic ideas within these topics so he can frame his thoughts correctly. We are not so worried about every detail being exact, but just on him picking up a few bits of info, while getting a handle on the basic way things are set-up in the various scientific topics that this book series covers. This may seem like a review of the whole series and not just this book, but really I think they are consistent. If you are a more sensitive parent for certain topics, feel free to dodge the shark book, but we like them all, including that one. We have every one about the ocean, as well as the ones about bugs and pets. They are all consistently great with vivid illustrations and generous details.

Great book for older child -cute rhymes & accurate info
Dr Seuss is usually aimed at toddlers and preschoolers - this one has the same awesome art work but contains detailed information on deep sea animals - I found it extremely accurate but too much detail for kids to understand - but my 2 yr old twins still loved it anyway so give staraa.
