Golden Fox Mass Market Paperback – 1 Dec. 1993

I enjoyed this novel in the Courtney series. I did not though think it as good as RAGE , the previous book in the series. This was a completely different kind of story. This was like a good spy thriller with espionage and passing of secrets be it unwillingly. The same characters appear in this book as appear in RAGE so it is continuation. Well worth a read as the late Wilbur Smith was a very good author who fully researched all his story lines before writing a novel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I originally read the Courtney saga in the late 70s - early 80s. They cemented my love for reading. Wilbur Smith paints a vivid picture as clear as any movie and a storyline too vast to fit into a 2hour film.

Interesting mix of history and story. Sounds true to life and quite far fetched in others. Aircraft I used to work on at Youngs field years ago.

Having purchased 6 Wilbur Smith books as " used but in good condition" and not "New" I was very very disappointed on receipt of them.This description was not truthful and although I paid just £1.95 for each of them plus pp I can get far better conditioned books ( some even brand new )at the local Charity Shop, Since my purchase online I have indeed been able to obtain all 6 books at local Charity Shops for half of the price I paid. The books I recieved online were so well read and so well thumbed and not taken care of at all that I threw them in the dustbin! I would not want them in my home. So much for a bargain!!. Also 1 of the books received was not what I ordered and entirely a different author and I had to do a lot of work online and on the phone to enable me to not only return the incorrect item but to claim a refund. Nevertheless I did not try to re-order the book that I ordered in the first place but had an enjoyable afternoon at the Charity Shops and was able to purchase it there.Rest assured I shall not be buying any quote "used and in good condition" books online.Maybe I was an unlucky one and others have not had the same experience- I would like to think so.I was told my face was a picture when I opened the parcel - but with shock rather than joy!ps I am not bothering to review the other books - there is no point. (Please remember the actual stories by the author are in no way at fault here - just the condition of the books.

Just opened this ‘Second hand’ book to read and I don’t think it’s ever been read, it literally is as good as new 🤩

This novel the silver fox was a another great story inn the Courtney series of had all the suspense on the Russian and African urged to rebel against people in Africa with Russian kgb to hope to impose their ideals on the African people. This book was a good read .
