I bought this when I knew my car was going to be sitting in a parking lot for over a week (instead of my garage where my car is normally parked and driven daily). When I returned, I didn't want to get stuck if my battery was dead. I charged this device up and kept it in the back of my car while I was gone. When we returned to this lot, my car started right up. However, there was a family close buy who couldn't get their SUV started. I ran over and hooked the device up to their battery and their vehicle started right up after that. The relief on their face said it all. The wife wrote down the info on this device and said she was going to order one immediately. Even though I didn't need to save myself from headaches, it was nice to save another family who needed help.I have placed the device in the back of my wife's car (I need to order another one for car), 2 months later, I checked the status of the charging power and the lights indicated that it was still good and didn't need to be plugged in.I will recommend this device to all of my friends and family.

Not good when it's made in China now.

I have a few vehicles in my stable and they don't all get driven regularly so sometimes they need a jump to get going and one of them is a 4.6ltr v8 triton motor.. everything else is v6's engines. This jump pack has no issues jump starting everyone of them. I have bought other jump packs and returned them because they could not even get my truck to turn over, this one has no issues starting it within one or two whirls of the started from so dead the interior light won't even come on. I am very happy with this unit and highly recommend it. The USB and 12 volt outlet on it are just a bonus! I also did not want the air compressor portion because they just use too much juice and make it heavy plus all my vehicles have their own 12 volt compressor on board in case I need one ( all of them are by Slime and plug in to the cigarette lighter plug ) so it was bonus for me that I found this one without the compressor.

Got this battery pack for emergencies but upon receipt saw the box was obviously retaped and inside contents disheveled. Upon plugging it in, it seemed to work fine, indicating a full charge (when it isn't supposed to, normally units ship with a partial charge), but after letting it charge for 24 hours per the manual, unplug it and push the battery test button and nada. Dead. Now normally returns with Amazon aren't a problem, but with this, you are forced to go into troubleshooting scripts and then into a chat, wasting even more of my time.WORSE, despite the listing clearly saying that this item is eligible for returns, Amazon chat claimed it isn't. After going round and round with chat, including providing this items ISBN showing the return policy, finally offered the refund without returning the worthless item. So now, I have to deal with disposal of this garbage which in Californian and probably most other states can't just be tossed in the trash because of the Pb battery. I get to waste more time taking this POS to a recycling center.

The first one I bought for my husband a few years ago was great and still works great, we love it. The second one I bought for my daughter was the mid priced one, the lower price one had 3 USB spots and air pump, the one that was more expensive and I had bought my husband also had the 3 USB PORTS and air pump, the mid range one I got my daughter did not have the 3 USB PORTS or air pump. It was not clearly marked that it didn't have the 3 ports, only one or that it didn't have the air pump. Was very disappointed it that. But other than that would highly recommend the other two. Great price and works great too.

I see a lot of poor reviews for this product which prompted me to give my thoughts which are positive. I have been using this jump starter for some years now and it has worked every time I have needed it to. The one thing I'll give to the complainers is that this doesn't come with a way to charge it out of the box. Luckily, I already have an extension cable in my garage for shop vacs, etc... which does the job perfectly. I have used this dozens of times over the years having multiple vehicles. During a rough period I went through multiple dead batteries dissuading me from using Autozone batteries again (they also don't like to honor warranties and blame other parts on your such as the alternator, Costco batteries silved these problems ). The little light on it is handy, the USB port is nice to have even though I don't really use it and the 12v outlet is super handy for many applications (air compressors, ryobi lights when u don't have a charged battery, and little shop vacs for interior cleaning without draining your car's battery. It would be nice if it had a standard plug outlet, but that may be asking for too much). If this one ever dies (all batteries eventually do) i'll be buying another without question. Definitely recommended!
